Share your resume with us today! Primary Responsibilities. Inspect machined components and assemblies. Identify and document nonconformance and support root cause analysis investigations. Read, interpret, and understand technical documents (drawings, specifications, test procedures, etc.) Create and compile acceptance data packages for customer approval of build assets. Prepare and maintain AS9102 reports, inspection records, quality documentation, and discrepancy reports. Operate standard inspection and measuring equipment, CMMs, and GOM Scanning Equipment against tight tolerances utilizing GD&T and embedded model dimensioning. Participate in, and provide necessary support of corrective actions, documentation control, calibration, and receiving inspection. Basic Qualifications. High School diploma/GED with 3 years of relevant Quality Inspection experience required. Must have knowledge and understanding of how to read and interpret drawings. Must have knowledge and understanding of how to efficiently use micrometers, height gages, gage blocks, radius gages, calipers and other measuring equipment typical to a manufacturing environment. Must have experience in an ISO9001/AS9100 manufacturing environment. Must be able to populate handwritten or computer-generated inspection reports. Must have practical computer skills and experience using software such as Microsoft Office. Must be able to work full-time with minimal supervision and the ability to adjust priorities based on workflow. Must be willing to travel to customer sites to perform quality inspections, as necessary. Must be able to lift and carry up to 35 lbs. Candidate must be a resident of the Colorado Springs area or willing to relocate to the Colorado Springs - Monument - Pueblo, CO area. Mortgage lenders require periodic updates on their properties and to do this they send out independent contractors. The purpose of the property inspection is: To verify property occupancy. To report on the general condition of the property using a mobile application. Most inspections are exterior only. About 10% require interior photos after the property has gone vacant. We contract with inspectors at a county level. This means that you would be responsible to complete all inspections in your county. In some cases, you will split the county with another inspector if there is enough volume for two inspectors. Responsibilities Most common type of inspection should only take 5-6 minutes. Complete the inspection within 4 days after it is assigned. Report general property conditions and make a determination of occupancy based on industry standards. Take 9+ photos of the property with brief comments. Complete a short form in an app. Requires being able to spend extended periods of time driving while making numerous stops during the day in the assigned territory. Job Summary: The OSP Quality Control Technician is responsible for reviewing and evaluating construction projects, including: using the plan design against new build, span and drop replacements (if needed), risers, aerial installations, bonding and grounding of the strand (messenger), proper installation of any ADSS self-supporting fiber-optic cable, splice cases and cabinets, splitters and XWDM (Wavelength Division Multiplexing), underground installations (bores, vaults, and trenches) and MDU lockbox replacements. Responsibilities: ● Document redlined as-built information on construction plans. Participate in weekly planning meetings with District staff to review current projects, upcoming projects, schedules, and resources. ● Organize and prioritize work activities while utilizing efficient time management skills in meeting deadlines and staying on schedule. ● Maintain positive relations with the public, jurisdictional agencies, general construction services contractors and District staff. ● Perform under the responsible charge of the Construction Manager and Project Manager. ● Enforce the company's safety program so that the company safety objectives are achieved. ● Before work begins, perform site surveys of as-built and proposed projects and complete associated red-line documentation to guarantee that the work to be done is doable. ● Perform construction inspections for quality control in accordance with customer's Technical Quality Assurance (TQA) standards. ● Maintain accurate records. ● Verify that property restoral is consistent with customer's standard practice. ● Document (in still image and/or video) that aerial construction, underground vaults and cabinets have been built and installed as specified by customer. ● Prepare work orders to resolve any element in the plant that does not meet specifications. ● Communicate with Project Manager or designated Supervisor regarding concerns about construction progress. ● Ability to work weekends or a second shift as the business needs dictate. ● Adhere to industry specific local, state, and federal regulations, as applicable. ● Know, understand, and follow company policies. ● Perform other duties as requested by supervisor. Qualifications: All positions require participation in the federally compliant FMSCA drug and alcohol testing program. This includes both pre-employment and ongoing random testing. ● Five (5) years of experience in the construction, maintenance, and repair of the outside plant (OSP) that supports telecommunications services (Telephone, CATV, and High- Speed Internet) ● 1+ years Maintenance Technician or equivalent work experience ● Construction work experience preferred. ● Working knowledge of safe construction practices used in building aerial and underground communications networks. ● Demonstrated problem solving and analytical thinking skills. ● Knowledge of standard industry practices, work orders, and scheduling processes ● Knowledge of N.E.C and N.E.S.
