KNOWLEDGES, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICS: The following skills and abilities are required: • Must hold a valid certificate issued by the FAA with both Airframe and Power Plant ratings with an Inspection Authorization (IA). • Must possess a thorough knowledge of aircraft maintenance. • Shall have a minimum of five (5) years experience in a quality control program at the level of making airworthiness decisions. • Must have the ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing. • Must hold and maintain in force a valid driver's license. • Must be familiar on the type of customer's designated aircraft for which he/she has responsibility, with formal training preferred. • Must be computer literate. • Both fixed and rotary wing, reciprocating and turbine engine experience is desired. • Pentagon 2000 SQL and/or IBM Maximo experience is desired. Quality Control Inspectors are responsible for reducing scrap, material reduction and increase productivity on the production floors. They troubleshoot quality issues with product processes. The work closely with operations team to ensure process controls are in place to meet standard requirements. * Accurate and timely inspections of machines and finished products * Complete quality reports hourly * Verify specific dimensions and material usage to assist in cost reduction * Eliminate non-conforming products. * Meet production goals * May be responsible to perform other related duties as required and assigned * Must be able to work a 3rd shift (7pm-7am) Comply with OSHA Regulations * Non-temperature controlled; frequently exposed to very hot or cold temperatures * Mostly indoor, industrial setting, but occasionally work outdoors Regularly exposed to loud sounds and noise levels
