Job Summary

Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, the Quality ControlInspector is responsible for providing quality control and assurance throughout all phases of the production process, with a focus on mechanical and wiring. Other phases include inspections of raw materials, in-process, and final products. Products and materials are related to switchgear, relay panels, substation enclosers, sheet metal, welding, paint and other components.
Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
Responsibilities:
Performs visual inspections and other specified tests of incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products to confirm product meets drawings and specifications
Verifies and documents the condition and count of all items unloaded from trucks and trailers; checks against suppliers count and immediately reports discrepancies.
Uses observation and testing to identify faults in materials and manufacturing process
Documents inspection results by completing inspection reports, logs, and checklists
Documents corrective action requests and inputs data into corrective action database.
Communicates with supervisor to determine appropriate recommendations and remedies for questions regarding products
Maintain quality records as needed
Keeps inspection and measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions; and notifying management when repairs are necessary.
Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
1-3 years' experience of quality inspections in fabrication/manufacturing environment, particularly in welding
Thorough understanding of the product and/or process being inspected (welding)
Ability to read blueprints, specifications, and technical documents
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to handle multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail with the task at hand
Demonstrated proficiency with the ability to safely operate powered equipment (forklift, reach truck, etc.)
Proficient in Microsoft
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods standing and performing repetitive tasks.
Must be able to lift push and/or pull up to 50 pounds at times.
Dexterity and accuracy as needed to operate testing equipment or gauges.
Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform inspections.
Must be able to traverse production facility to conduct inspections.
Must wear PPE, such as gloves, safety glasses, hard hat, and ear protection, while working on the production floor

QUALIFICATIONS:

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking the English language, as well as having experience with technical writing (knowing Spanish is a plus). Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and
procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from departmental manager/supervisor or other employees.

Paragon is seeking a Quality ControlInspector to join our team in our Fort Worth, Texas office. The Quality ControlInspector performs a variety of in-process and final electrical and mechanical tests and/or inspections on various equipment, materials, and products in accordance with documented procedures. Maintains documented records of the test or inspection activities. This position focuses on processes.
Responsibilities:
Conducts assigned tests or inspections in accordance with documented procedures or instructions to include inspection of workmanship standards.
Document results of tests or inspections.
Identify and report non-conforming conditions via Paragon's Discrepancy Report (DR)
Witness personnel perform work, test or inspection activities when required by documents or instructions.
Maintain complete and accurate records and documentation.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Work with Quality Engineering staff implementing process reporting.
Work with Production with areas where process improvements can be made.
Qualifications:
Minimum education level: High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum two years' experience in manufacturing, service or testing environment.
Must have a working knowledge of Word, and Excel.
Good documentation skills.
Capable of working varied hours/days to meet customer delivery requirements.
Physically capable of performing test and inspection activities, including visual acuity and color vision.
Capable of traveling to client or supplier locations.
Knowledgeable of various electronic, electrical, pressure and mechanical measurement and test equipment.
Able to read and understand procedures, test documents, layout drawings and wiring diagrams.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Previous certification performing ASME code inspections or IPC-A-610 Electronic Assembly workmanship inspector desired but not required.

• Inspect and verify proper completion and documentation of aircraft maintenance events and discrepancies, to include alterations and repairs, serviceable and unserviceable tags.
• Verify currency and applicability of maintenance manuals, inspection guides, ICA's, AD's, Service Bulletins, drawings, engineering data, on-board aircraft operation manuals, aircraft registration and airworthiness certificates.
• Brief aircrew of inspections, repairs, and open discrepancies prior to maintenance check flights.
• Inspect and verify proper completion and documentation of engine maintenance events to include inspections, repairs, and overhauls.
• Prepare maintenance, inspection, repair, and alteration documents to include aircraft and engine maintenance entries, FAA Form 8130-3, and FAA Form 337.
• Perform fixed wing aircraft engine leak and operational checks to include aircraft taxi.
• Perform receiving inspections of incoming parts and components and verify accompanying documentation.
• Enter inspection findings into database to determine trending issues.
• Must be familiar with all FAR's required to operate an FAA Repair Station.
• Ensure safety requirements are paramount within the Repair Station operations.

• Must be computer literate.
• Both fixed and rotary wing, reciprocating and turbine engine experience is desired.
• Pentagon 2000 SQL and/or IBM Maximo experience is desired.
