Overview
The Quality Control Technician will be a key member of the US Supply Chain team, collaborating and communicating with receiving, customer success, sales, inventory planning and other departments.
The Quality Control Technician is responsible for supporting the execution of quality inspection processes and procedures by physical inspections. What You Will Be Doing:
Collaborate with customer success, sales, receiving and overseas teams to identify and correct quality issues.
Maintain an ongoing list of problem vendors and problem items. Facilitate protocol for reviewing receipts of these items until all issues are resolved.
Works under general supervision to perform routine product inspections related to labeling, packaging, color and size quality issues, following the relevant company's Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and methods.
May be required to receive, sort, log issues into master qc log and prepare and apply labels
Demonstrates good and safe work habits and enforces a clean working environment.
May be required to archive, return, or dispose of inspected inventory as per the established procedure
Will be required to operate warehouse machinery used for the purpose of re-stocking inspected inventory.

Education/Certification Requirements
Must have held a Level II or III certification per NQA-1 and /or ASNT CP-189 within the last eight years.

Technical training in the area of inspection resulting in ANSI Level II or III certification in the following fields is preferred: Electrical, Mechanical, I&C, Civil, Coatings.

Background/Experience Requirements
Must meet the experience requirements as stipulated by NQA-1, ASNT CP-189 and/or ASME Section XI. Experience credit is allowed for personnel with related degrees in a method of discipline. Other areas of qualification such as successful completion of discipline or method specific training may be considered equivalent to the initial training requirements as approved by the certifying authority level III.
Must possess the skills and knowledge to interpret codes, standards, and specifications. Must be able to verify the adequacy of processes and procedures to those same codes, standards and specifications. Must have a general knowledge of QC and NDE inspection and examination techniques.
Must be able to successfully pass and maintain site qualifications necessary to support the performance of inspections and examinations.
The position requires basic computer skills and the ability to comprehend new software programs associated with inspection and examination activities.

Quality Control Inspector
Quality control inspector job in Hogansville, GA
Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned as needed):
Verify electronic product check sheets are filled and saved properly.
Manual gage check for KPC items and record data for X bar R Charts (future item).
One piece manual gage check each line every shift.
Visual check for product characteristics which are not checked by CMM or hard gage.
Verify Tool change check sheets.
Verify changeover check sheets.
Verify FMEA parts are being used on line (perform surprise audits)
Support production with parts that are in vicinity of lines to ensure they are correctly dispositioned and tagged (scrap, Quality Market, shipping, rework).
Provide timely feedback on issues before parts leave the line.
Provide daily electronic report of line activity.
Audit outgoing parts prior to shipping using checklists for housing and carrier.
Label bins if parts do not meet quality standards.
Provide timely feedback to production and the work center immediately for correction.
Provide summary of parts being shipped and parts inspected using electronic spreadsheet. Email summary daily.
Ensure that bins have the correct labels and part certifications.
Support production ensuring parts are shipped on time, and with correct quantities according to production schedule per production control.
Create awareness of parts on production floor that are not labeled, or properly dispositioned. Provide support and feedback to Production.
Qualifications
Knowledge of production processes, quality requirements, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacturer of products.
Manufacturing / quality experience minimum of 1 years
In depth understanding on key characteristics for housing and carriers.
Technical Competencies:
Reading comprehension and math / analytical skills are a plus
Proficient in computer applications (i.e. Microsoft Word/Excel/Power Point, e-mail, etc.)

Must be comfortable with conflict resolution
Strict adherence to procedures
Must be comfortable with receiving feedback
Lift 35 pounds
Be able to stand for 4 hours at a time with one 10 minute break and one 20 minute break.

Desire to work in an environment with protective equipment
