We contract with inspectors at a county level. This means that you would be responsible to complete all inspections in your county. In some cases, you will split the county with another inspector if there is enough volume for two inspectors. Responsibilities Most common type of inspection should only take 5-6 minutes. Complete the inspection within 4 days after it is assigned. Report general property conditions and make a determination of occupancy based on industry standards. This position will start in Kansas and will require travel and work in the Midwest (e.g. Oklahoma, Kansas, Arkansas, Nebraska). Primary Function: Implement company quality control plans for the heavy highway industry while maintaining a professional working relationship with the owner's representatives in order to keep the project on schedule and produce a quality product. The position will report to the Operations Manager. Some products tested by the QC Technician include but are not limited to: concrete, asphalt, aggregates, and soils. Typical Duties: Acts as the company contact with the owner's representative for QC matters. Sample for and conduct quality control tests according to the contract documents and specifications. Completes all quality control documentation such as spreadsheet summaries and transmits the appropriate records daily. Analyze and interpret results of QC testing & activities. Provide recommendations to Operations and QC personnel on appropriate adjustments and/or changes in processes to maintain acceptance and efficiency. Properly maintain the field laboratory and associated test equipment. Including the scheduling of field laboratory equipment calibrations, as needed. Pursue involvement with the company sponsored technical training program and continue your individual educational efforts associated with quality control.
