Job DescriptionBenefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance The Quality Control Inspector performs visual inspection to verify conformance to AWS D1.1 Structural Welding Code Steel requirements and customer specification and other manufacturing processes related to steel fabrication. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Perform Visual Inspection and dimensional inspections to verify product/component compliance for in-process and final QC inspections on manufactured/fabricated parts and assemblies. Identify and record any product quality problem(s) while communicating all quality issues to management in a timely manner, along with recommendations for any corrective actions that may be necessary. Witness testing of the welder test assemblies and/or welding operator qualification tests or supervise these activities when performed by third-party testing. Verify that the base materials and consumable welding materials conform to the specifications and that the welding filler metals used are as specified for each base material or combination of base materials. Verify documentation of performance qualification test results and ensure welders qualifications are current. Verify that the welding procedures are as specified and are qualified, and that the welding is performed in conformance with the applicable procedure. Ability to understand and use basic inspection tools, such as a tape measure. Able to read and interpret product drawings, specifications, visual work instructions and navigate codebooks. Ensures materials and products are in accordance with established tolerance levels for quality and performance. Perform duties in accordance with TRCs Quality Management System and Safety procedures. Recording inspection results by completing inspection reports, writing NCRs, reject defective parts, label, and segregate as necessary as well as inputting data into quality/production database. Able to perform basic math. Willingness to be trained and ability to learn in fast paced environments. Willing to work overtime on weekdays and weekends. Inspects and oversees all production line inspections of all finished goods manufactured in the production area. Duties and Responsibilities: Review the Batch Ticket Checklist for the following: Clearing area of previous job materials; correct packing materials on the floor for the job; encoding devices are set correctly for lot code and/or expiration date; set-up fill weights are in spec; label height is correct and signed-off label placement standard is nearby; all retain samples have been collected and taken to the Q.C. lab. Check the Batch Ticket Bill of Materials/Component Sheet to be sure all parts are accounted for and that they are correct. This includes comparing Item Numbers and Item Description to carton labeling and the individual packaging components. Check the filling equipment cleaning log to be sure it was updated when the last product was removed and cleaned. Inspect at the first finished goods produced to be sure they look perfect. If the finished goods represent an item that we have not produced before it needs to be approved. Q.C. Inspection Records. All out of specification results or defects should be circled and adequate notes of all follow-up action noted in the Job History Notes. Q.C. Inspections should be completed four times an hour of run time. Run time includes additional packing, lot coding or labeling operations completed after off -line filling operations. Look at finished goods for any/all defects as noted on the A.C. Inspection Records. Report any/all problems to the Shift Lead immediately. If there is a problem, ask the Machine Operator and/or Line Coordinator to stop the process immediately so the problem can be evaluated and corrected. This also prevents unnecessary or excessive rework. Follow-up on defect problems by examining finished foods to be sure the problem has truly been corrected. Field-based role - must reside within commuting distance of one of the company's regional offices A growing construction services firm is seeking certified Special Inspectors to support field inspection activities across various commercial and infrastructure projects. This role focuses on monitoring the installation and construction of structural elements to ensure compliance with plans, codes, and specifications. Key Responsibilities: Conduct special inspections on active job sites, including welding, bolting, reinforced concrete, and structural masonry. Review project drawings and specifications to prepare for field inspections. Drive to job sites and perform inspections in accordance with relevant building codes and contract documents. Operate, calibrate, and maintain field and lab equipment as needed. Accurately complete and submit electronic daily field reports with clear summaries of work performed and observations. Maintain open, professional communication with project managers, engineers, and clients. Ensure reporting and documentation meet all regulatory and company standards. Provide excellent customer service and represent the company's values in the field. May assist with limited project management tasks as assigned. Qualifications: Minimum 3 years of field testing or inspection experience required. ICC, CWI, WAQTC, or other special inspection certifications required based on project needs.
