Summary
Lincoln Electric Automation is seeking a Quality Technician for our Bettendorf, IA location to perform in-process and final inspections, maintain quality standards, and support continuous improvement within a fast-paced automation environment. This role ensures that assemblies, weldments, and tooling meet engineering and customer requirements.

Responsibilities
Perform in-process and final inspections on assemblies, weldments, and fabricated components.
Maintain and calibrate inspection and measuring equipment.
Identify and document nonconformities; assist in corrective actions.
Work with engineering and fabrication teams to resolve quality issues.
Provide feedback to improve workflow, documentation, and process efficiency.
Complete inspection reports and quality documentation.
Support assembly, fit-up, hydraulic line plumbing, and customer run-off.
Assist with field start-up and customer training as needed (overnight travel required).

We are looking for 3rd shift availability. Shift hours are Friday through Sunday 5am to 5pm.
• Coordinate between Veritas Steel Production and DOT Inspectors to ensure DOT witnessing of production operations and QC hold points are being completed.
• Perform visual inspection of material as required.
• Perform layout checks as needed.
• Perform rotational capacity tests on bolts prior to use in shop.

The Quality Control Inspector is accountable for the practical application of the internal Quality Control System. This position ensures that the quality standards as defined by the designers are being met on the shop floor as well as with materials and services supplied by outside vendors.
Essential Functions:

This internship will allow the qualified candidate to participate in a learning program designed around training into a potential full-time opportunity of a role similar to the one in the description listed below. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

All AMPI employees have an obligation to report employee safety, food safety and food quality issues to personnel of authority.
This position has a heightened food safety and food quality responsibilities.
Execute required tests on finished product according to SOPs and customer requirements.
Execute required test on incoming ingredients according to QMS (Quality Monitoring Scheme).
Responsible for daily/weekly plating, reading, calibration, sample collection, Internal Control Plan, sample preparations, etc.
Support investigations on improvement projects (e.g., holds, consumer complaints), helps to identify root causes, and helps to identify corrective actions and monitors for effectiveness.
Support training for operators to ensure process checks are accurate and timely as state in QMS.
Communicate out-of-specification product results to supervisor.
Calibrate lab equipment such as pH meter and scales, etc. according to SOP's.
Conduct daily routine sample analyses using lab techniques and other instrumentation following Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
Organize laboratory records and files. Ensures compliance to procedures and work instructions.
Ensures correct recording of laboratory and quality records in compliance with SOP's including storage and retrieval of records.
Support laboratory activities to ensure that a high quality of products, services, housekeeping, and hygiene standards are maintained and improved in laboratory and other analytical areas.
Supports laboratory compliance (calibration, equipment testing, etc.) to SQF and AMPI requirements.
Employee shall follow and carry out company policy on all required GMP, quality and food safety requirements and escalate quality or food safety findings or incidents.
Support execution of GMP's throughout the plant and follow safety rules and procedures.
Support improvement of GMP's throughout the plant and follow safety rules and procedures.
Support improvement initiatives (e.g., complaints, holds) for facility.

Essential Job Functions:
Set-up, perform, analyze and report on all phases of product testing based on developed test plans
Training staff on rewash & quality inspection related to mold & broken parts.
Responsible for maintaining accurate quality related records
Provide detailed results of testing and inspections to Depot Manger o ensure quality standards are satisfied
Follows all ISO regulations and requirements for testing, GMP inspecting, documenting
Reviewing all paperwork for accuracy and completion on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
Oversee the implementation of the food safety plan
Ensure plant is within compliance by performing, Quarterly Deibel swabs, daily verification of swabs and plates, signing off on weekly Microbial swab paperwork
Perform performance audits on current and new products
Responsible for plant GMP audits and presenting findings at monthly quality meetings.

Requirements:
Education and Experience:
Associate's degree in a technical field, or 1-2 years' experience in quality in lieu of degree
Familiarity with ISO and Food Safety standards preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to understand and follow Quality Control Specifications
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand bend, and reach with hands and arms and lift up to 25-35 pounds repetitively.
Work Environment
Typically, work takes place indoors in a factory, plant, or warehouse setting. These facilities may not always be temperature-controlled. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to chemicals and moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
