Quality Assurance Technician 1st Shift
A Team Member in the Quality Assurance Technician position will complete and document quality control audits, monitor adherence to USDA regulations verifying HACCP and SSOP task while enforcing hygiene behaviors. Individuals must be able to assure pertinent, accurate and timely collection of data from all processes in the plant to aid operations in decision making, as well as continuously striving for improvement. First shift hours are from 5:00am-3:00pm.
Responsibilities:
Complete and document primal and sub-primal quality control audits including weights, measurements, and visual assessments of raw pork products
Release or retain product based on audit results, including informing production supervision
Monitor adherence to USDA regulations by monitoring and verifying HACCP and SSOP tasks
Perform monitoring and verification tasks prescribed in HACCP and SSOP plans, including monitoring and enforcing employee hygiene behaviors
Complete other QA inspections including but not limited to boneless meat inspections, ambient and product temperature monitoring, Xray and metal detector function checks, chemical concentration verifications, inspection of packaging materials, animal handling audits, process, and procedural verifications
Commitment to complete tasks on time to achieve goals
Collaborate with co-workers, supervisors, and managers by maintaining a positive work atmosphere putting the success of the team above own interest
All team members are expected to adhere to their scheduled working hours and attend work consistently to ensure smooth operation and effective teamwork
Qualifications:
Associates degree in related field preferred
2 years of previous meat facility experience preferred
Trustworthy and highly ethical
Must be a self-started and able to work with limited supervision, strong work record and excellent attendance is a must
Demonstrated strong attention to detail
Must be available to work overtime, weekends and holidays as required for 24-hours operation
Must have strong leadership capabilities with excellent communication skills, allowing for positive working relationships within close working environments.
Demonstrated objectivity and openness to others' views, receiving and providing feedback in a positive manner
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the team member is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions on the site including exposure to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud and hearing protection is required. The position regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in hot and cold, and outdoor conditions that include inclement weather, and exposure to dust.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
The position lifts heavy objects up to 30 lbs., walks and stands for long periods of time and performs strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions. The team member lifts, pushes, pulls, or carries objects; uses abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support without fatigue. The position requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arms and fingers, two hands) and multi-limb coordination. The position requires the ability to quickly move arms and legs. Team members must have excellent stamina and vision and be able to work from heights.

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Quality Technician plays a key role in ensuring compliance with customer, industry, and internal quality standards in printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) manufacturing. This position has a strong focus on process audits, ESD compliance auditing, and initial investigation of material and process issues. The Quality Technician documents findings and reports directly to the Quality Engineer, supporting corrective actions and continuous improvement efforts.
Major responsibilities:
Perform process audits across PCBA manufacturing operations to verify compliance with work instructions, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
Conduct ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) audits to ensure personnel, workstations, and equipment meet established ESD controls.
Perform initial investigations of material issues or process issues identified during production, including defect containment, data collection, and communication of findings.
Document and communicate inspection, audit, and investigation results, and report findings to the Quality Engineer for review and action.
Carry out in-process, first article, and final inspections of PCBs to verify compliance with IPC-A-600, IPC-A-610, and customer requirements.
Issue non-conformance reports (NCRs) and assist with root cause and corrective action activities under guidance of the Quality Engineer.
Monitor adherence to ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and customer-specific quality requirements.
Support calibration and maintenance of inspection/test equipment, ensuring accurate and reliable measurements.
Collaborate with production staff and supervisors to provide feedback on quality issues, recommend corrective actions, and reinforce best practices.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen process controls, reduce defects, and improve yields.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Familiarity, experience, or previous training and certification in Liquid Penetrant testing, Magnetic Particle testing, Ultrasonic testing, and radiography. Inspector has responsibility for the performance and scheduling of all inspection and testing activities as defined by contract. Assess sub-contractors' capabilities to meet the quality requirements of the project as required.
Assure that the contract obligations' for testing and record keeping are adhered to.
Control calibrated measuring and test equipment used on the project.

Ensure proper turnover of complete quality control package(s). Responsible for ensuring that turnover documentation is maintained, organized and turned over on schedule and scanned into the database.

Qualifications:

The QA/QC Inspector role provides quality inspections regarding welding and welder's certifications, pressure vessels, heat exchangers and boilers, piping, mechanical equipment, painting and coatings, structural steel and fabricated materials.
Essential Duties:
Experience or working of the following codes; ASME B&PV, ASME B31.1 and B31.3, NBIC,API, AWS, ACI, AISC, RCSC and others as determined by job requirements. Ability to read and interpret various codes, standards and specifications.
Familiarity, experience, or previous training and certification in Liquid Penetrant testing, Magnetic Particle testing, Ultrasonic testing, and radiography. Inspector has responsibility for the performance and scheduling of all inspection and testing activities as defined by contract. Willingness to attend training and acquire additional training and certifications as required.
Assess sub-contractors' capabilities to meet the quality requirements of the project as required.
Assure that the contract obligations' for testing and record keeping are adhered to.
Control calibrated measuring and test equipment used on the project.
Keep calibration records and ensure that all testing equipment has current calibration records.
Ensure proper turnover of complete quality control package(s). Responsible for ensuring that turnover documentation is maintained, organized and turned over on schedule and scanned into the database.
Maintain project quality records for the construction phase of the project and quality audit plans, performance and management thereof.
Perform evaluations of sub-contractors' facilities to determine their capabilities in meeting the quality requirements.
Conduct periodic Quality Program training and coaching for site supervisory personnel.
All other duties as normally required by our QA/QC Department, and as required by day-to-day business
Qualifications:
Four (4) years of formal training and experience in heavy industrial projects such as refineries, petro- chemical complexes, power plants, etc.
CWI required.
Experience in understanding WPSs, PQRs, and WPQs
Ability to effectively interact with project team members, clients, subcontractors and craft employees.
Must be capable of obtaining or possess inspection licenses and/or certifications as required.
Read, write and communicate using English language sufficient to perform job functions as required by client and/or facility policy
Must be able to communicate and document via company web mail programs
Must be able to successfully complete all required pre-hire requirements.
Physical/Site Requirements:
Lift and carry heavy items weighing up to 45 pounds.
Move in and around confined and cluttered places, and uneven areas. Full range of motion and flexibility consistent with age.
Work up to a 12-hour shift in varying temperature extremes and other outside conditions.
Climb and maintain balance on steel framework, stairs, ladders, and scaffolds.
