This position is a full-time onsite Quality Technician position working for Loyal Source Government Services (LSGS). The Quality Technician is responsible for conducting independent, objective assessments of program and site operations to ensure compliance with contractual and Performance Work Statement (PWS) requirements, industry standards to include the National Detention Standard (NDS), and key performance indicators (KPIs). This role requires observing and analyzing operational processes, reporting findings, and tracking improvements with local and LSGS leadership. The Quality Technician will play a crucial role in maintaining quality and ensuring adherence to regulatory and accreditation requirements. The Quality Technician will support a facility that operates 24/7/365 and shift options include evenings, weekends and holidays.
Pay Rate: $28/hr
Duties & Functions:
* Monitors and audits process against established standards and conduct continuous analysis of quality defects and deviations.
* Observe onsite processes, patient or customer satisfaction, and overall operational efficiency and quality.
* Collaborates with site and company leadership to develop solutions identified areas of concern and continuous improvement opportunities.
* Analyze and interpret data from site assessments to identify trends, risks, and areas for improvement.
* Conduct subcontractor management quality reviews per the programs Subcontract Management, Quality Management or Program Management Plans.

* The Quality Technician participates with other Quality and facility team members to review requirements, identify controls, develop audit checklists, perform oversight activities, and perform assessments of contractual requirements, environmental and safety checks, local statutes, laws, and regulations, as well as other unique requirements.
Education & Experience:
* Bachelor's degree is preferred (5 years of healthcare quality assurance related experience may be considered equivalent to a bachelor's degree).
* 2 to 4+ years of experience in the quality field, correctional healthcare administration, or medical field is a must.
* Certified Correctional Health Professional (CCHP) or similar certification demonstrating in depth knowledge of detention health services standards and compliance.
* Experience with applying and assessing facilities compliance to the NDS is required.
* Experience with quality and healthcare industry standards. Examples include but are not limited to National Commission on Correctional Healthcare (NCCHC), ISO 9001, National Association for Healthcare Quality (NAHQ), The Joint Commission (TJC), and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).

Lead the plant's zero-defect initiative while driving efforts to improve quality trends and to reduce costs associated with rework, scrap and warranty claims in line with Divisional goals.
Utilize a working knowledge of ISO 9001 and Eaton Quality Management System (EQMS) requirements to maintain an effective Quality Management System.
Maintains assigned Procedures and Systems to ensure continued compliance with the ISO-9001 international quality standard and EQMS.

* Performs microbiological testing on raw materials, in-process and finished products, and stability samples according to applicable procedures.
* Collects environmental samples and perform analysis according to applicable site procedures. Maintain environmental trending data.
* Assists in completing project protocols, change notifications, deviation waivers and Quality Notifications with supervision.
* Performs assigned projects and tasks; compile testing data and review testing results.
* Maintains Microbiology Laboratory. Order supplies, reagents and materials as needed.
* Supports equipment maintenance and calibration activities.
* Understands lab safety and hazardous waste management.
* Cleans and maintains laboratory areas and equipment according to procedures.
* Supports investigations and implementation of corrective actions.
* Responsible for maintaining laboratory logbooks and records according to Good Documentation Practices.
* Performs Microbiology Lab activities as assigned by lab supervisor and/or Quality Manager/Designee in order to achieve QC testing delivery goals.
* Maintains Microbiology Lab audit readiness.
Other responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
* Complies with all local, state, federal and BD safety regulations, policies/procedures.
* Complies with all local BD quality policies/procedures/practices through consistent application of sound Quality Assurance principles.
* Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Microbiology or any related degree is required.
* 2 years of experience in Microbiology lab in a Pharmaceutical, Biotech/ Aseptic filling environment is preferred.

Analyze and verify products according to specifications and technical drawings
Perform visual and dimensional inspections for incoming products, shelf lifetime requalification, damaged items, customer returns / complaints
Update quality indicators
Monitor and control blocked parts in the warehouse.
Manage scrapped parts due to quality problems
Create reports and nonconformity notifications.
Manage measuring equipment (e.g., calibration control).
Perform part sorting / selection according to established norms and standards.
Support the review of process instructions and other quality system documents.
Qualifications
High School Diploma / GED
1.5 years of verifiable experience in the Quality area in product handling, with knowledge of measuring equipment (e.g., calipers)
Proficiency in measuring and testing devices including calipers.
Computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft office.
Job requires the ability & willingness to communicate regularly & effectively with coworkers.
Experience driving a forklift.
