Job Description Thompson Engineering is looking for qualified Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Technicians for various locations. This position is responsible for the daily oversight of the construction materials testing and inspection on construction sites to ensure specified standards of quality are met. Preferred candidates would need to be open to travel to various jobs sites and locations as required. DUTIES 1. Utilize a 40 lb. nuclear gauge to run tests on construction materials 2. Obtain concrete samples from the ready mix trucks 3. Make concrete test cylinders 4. Run tests on concrete samples and deliver the samples to the laboratory 5. Observe and record construction crew performance data for related activities 6. Perform visual inspection of rebar 7. Obtain and deliver soil samples from the jobsite to the laboratory 8. Interact with clients and contractors in a professional and ethical manner 9.
