Role Responsibilities:
Performing a variety of quality control tests/inspections on products, materials, parts, assemblies, etc., at various stages of the production process to ensure compliance with quality and reliability standards.
Recording data and writing summaries to validate or show deviations from existing standards/specifications.
Participating in meetings and monitoring hold activity, logs, etc.
Investigating customer complaints and returns.
Providing product failure analysis support.
Participating in problem prevention planning to communicate, evaluate and prevent/resolve quality problems.
Recommending modifications to existing products, or suggesting new standards, methods and procedures. Coordinates internal auditing process consisting of conducting audits and following up on audit activity.
Calibrating gauges and test equipment as required by calibration schedules.
Applying basic skills with opportunity to develop advanced skills. Duties and tasks are standardized.
Resolving routine questions and problems and referring more complex issues to higher level employees.

Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Quality Inspector to support the inspection of precision-machined parts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role focuses heavily on hands-on inspection and measurement, ensuring products meet engineering specifications and quality standards. Key Responsibilities
Perform first-article, in-process, roaming, and final inspections on precision-machined parts
Use a wide range of inspection and measurement tools daily; inspection activities comprise 90% or more of the role
Read and interpret engineering prints, drawings, and specifications to verify product requirements
Conduct detailed visual and dimensional inspections to identify defects or non-conformances
Accurately document inspection results and complete required quality records and forms
Communicate inspection findings to the quality, production, and engineering teams as needed
Support additional quality department tasks and initiatives as assigned
Required Skills & Abilities
Strong ability to read and interpret engineering prints and technical documentation
Proficiency with measurement and inspection tools, including micrometers, calipers, comparators, thread plugs, and plug gauges
Exceptional attention to detail in both measurement and documentation

Performs visual and/or mechanical inspections on component parts to ensure the product quality of production runs. Audit production for defective components/finished goods when required. Quarantine product when required
Disposition rejected or defective product in accordance with Lead instructions.
Generate hold tickets when required for product evaluation.
Document all inspection information from in-process checks into computer system.
Collect shots for in-process inspections. Check MIU for correct lot number, color, cavitation, mold number, etc.
Check components/finished good per ISO procedures to ensure quality of production using various inspection equipment. Perform color matches of components if required.
Verify dimensions of parts. Verify internal assembly and alignment of parts according to specifications.
Test functional performance of components/finished products under specified instructions.
Compare results with specifications and record test data. Analyze test results on defective units to determine extent of failure. Confer with production personnel regarding testing and results.
Input of data to the Certificate of Analysis, Excel database
Read work order and verify correct/incorrect materials in area. Notify materials handlers to have removed as necessary.
Calibrate test instruments according to specifications.
Assist in training new hires
Performs other duties as assigned
