    The Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) is responsible for inspecting parts and assemblies for nonconformities, acceptability and accuracy to drawings and/or customer requirements, using multiple methods per regulatory, customer, and internal requirements. Candidates for this role should have a working knowledge of all inspection equipment, roles and processes such as visual inspection, hydrostatic and various NDE methods. The CWI will be responsible for helping to detect the root cause of Quality issues as well as keeping track of Quality documentation. The CWI must have applicable knowledge of ASME, AWS, API, and ISO standards and must have a current certification. A Day In The Life Performs internal testing, internal checks, and cosmetic inspections. Perform inspections on material and product throughout production process. Perform relevant non-destructive examinations using varying methods. Complete all documentation required for tracking and record keeping. Complete data entry and evaluate results of data entered. Perform root cause analysis on non-conformities found. The successful candidate will be able to train, coordinate, and communicate effectively with all departments and personnel. Mortgage lenders require periodic updates on their properties and to do this they send out independent contractors. The purpose of the property inspection is: To verify property occupancy. To report on the general condition of the property using a mobile application. Most inspections are exterior only. About 10% require interior photos after the property has gone vacant. We contract with inspectors at a county level. This means that you would be responsible to complete all inspections in your county. In some cases, you will split the county with another inspector if there is enough volume for two inspectors. Responsibilities Most common type of inspection should only take 5-6 minutes. Complete the inspection within 4 days after it is assigned. Report general property conditions and make a determination of occupancy based on industry standards. Take 9+ photos of the property with brief comments. Complete a short form in an app. Requires being able to spend extended periods of time driving while making numerous stops during the day in the assigned territory. You will independently collect construction materials samples from various construction sites and perform tests and inspections to assess the properties and integrity of those materials, using specialized equipment and following established procedures and standards.
