The Inspector will manage in depth analysis and documentation using vernier, dial and digital calipers, surface plates, micrometers and gages. The primary responsibility will be managing the inspections of diaphragms, veins, sand plates, nozzle casings, nozzle support rings and various other critical engine components.
Candidates shall perform detailed inspections and complete job documentation using the following, but not limited to:

Tube, blade, groove and depth micrometers
Thread plug gages, ring gages

Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
1-3 years of experience with quality assurance, mechanical inspection or machining experience from a precision manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Possess experience or willing to learn Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) operations.
Proficient Geometry and Trigonometry skills.
Summary Pay Range:

About This Role:
As our Quality Control Technician focused on switchboard testing, you will be instrumental in guaranteeing the quality and operational readiness of the electrical distribution systems that power our cutting-edge AI infrastructure. You will be responsible for executing comprehensive testing protocols for switchboard assemblies at various stages of production. Your understanding of electrical testing principles, safety regulations, and switchgear functionality will be essential in identifying and mitigating potential issues before deployment. What You'll Be Working On:
Switchboard Testing and Inspection: Execute comprehensive testing procedures for switchboard assemblies, including but not limited to visual inspections, electrical continuity tests, insulation resistance tests, functional tests, and operational checks.
Test Procedure Execution: Follow detailed test procedures and checklists to ensure consistent and thorough evaluation of switchgear performance against engineering specifications and industry standards.
Electrical Testing and Verification: Execute electrical testing procedures, including continuity testing, insulation resistance testing, functional testing, and other relevant electrical tests to ensure switchboard meets performance specifications and safety requirements, energized functionality testing.
Test Equipment Management: Ensure that all electrical testing equipment is properly calibrated, maintained, and operated according to safety guidelines.
Test Equipment Operation and Maintenance: Proficiently operate various electrical testing equipment (e.g., multimeters, megohmmeters, Hi-Pot testers) and ensure proper calibration and maintenance of this equipment.
Data Acquisition and Reporting: Accurately record and document test data, identifying trends, discrepancies, and potential failure points. Generate clear and concise test reports summarizing findings.
Non-Conformance Reporting: Document any test failures or non-conformances, and collaborate with engineering and production teams to support root cause analysis and the implementation of effective corrective and preventive actions.
Quality Standards and Compliance: Ensure all testing activities adhere to relevant industry standards, safety regulations (e.g., NEC, NFPA 70E, UL 891, IEEE, ANSI), and internal quality management system requirements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with electrical engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams to resolve testing issues, provide feedback on design for testability, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

What You'll Bring to the Team:
Education: Minimum High School graduate or GED; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or a related field is preferred, and equivalent field experience will be considered.
Experience: Minimum of five years' experience in electrical testing and quality control roles, with a strong focus on testing medium and/or low voltage switchgear assemblies.
Electrical Testing Knowledge: Thorough understanding of electrical testing principles, methodologies, and safety practices.
Switchboard Familiarity: Comprehensive knowledge of switchgear components, functionality, and relevant industry standards (e.g., NEC, NFPA 70E, UL 891, IEEE, ANSI).

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Conducts routine inspections of in-process and completed parts for production teams, utilizes manual measuring practices for precise specifications.
Verify part to print accuracy for Shipping & Receiving.
Complete First Article Inspections and paperwork.
Read and understand complex blueprints.
Verify stock to engineering revision changes.
Utilize measurement tools such as calipers to assess product dimensions and tolerances.
Maintain quality systems in accordance with AS9102 standards.
Reports on and speak to quality metrics for management review.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement in processes and product quality.
Provide training and guidance on quality standards to production staff.
Document non-conformances and assist in the development of corrective action plans.

Requirements:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of 1 year of Proven experience in a Quality Control or Quality Assurance role within a manufacturing environment.
Ability to use all measuring tools, read and decipher detailed measurements on blueprints.
Ability to read GD&T prints and perform manual measurements frequently to complex specifications.
Knowledge of AS9100 Quality System, AS9102 FAI paperwork, First Article Inspection.
CMM knowledge strongly preferred.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data effectively.
Experience conducting quality audits and implementing quality management systems.
Proficiency in using measurement tools such as calipers and gauges.
Excellent attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining independence when necessary.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Basic computer skills, familiarity with MS products is a plus
