This position would be responsible for daily tasks such as: in process inspections, first article inspections, completion and maintenance of PPAP's, customer interaction, and plant quality audits. Ensures quality requirements are met through accurate and timely completion of all production first piece inspections, first article completions, and PPAP measurement requirements. Responsible for the calibration of all quality inspection tools and maintaining accurate documentation of those results. Tracks, reports, and dispositions any non-conforming materials. Ability to investigate failure modes and determine the true root cause of non-conformances. Report any accident related to person, equipment, material or any other to the Production Supervisor as soon as possible. Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) as instructed by the supervisor. Follow documented policies and procedures as designated by the company's Employee Handbook and adhere to proper code of conduct while in the company property. Perform all work in a safe and efficient manner and comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas. Ensure work meets quality standards and is performed according to established procedures. Perform other tasks as directed by your supervisor, all other duties as assigned. Must have at least one year of manufacturing experience. Basic mathematical, grammatical, and arithmetic skills required. Thorough understanding of mechanics and other properties of machines. Ability to follow written instructions, diagrams, and blueprints. Ability to follow proper safety protocols. Ability to determine whether machinery is working properly based on specifications for expectations such as fixtures, cutting speeds, or feed rates. Must be able to work in noisy environments. Work will be assigned on a as needed basis and the contractor will be paid for the hours/days and other applicable cost items for the hours/days spent on the assigned work. Responsibilities · Lead sanitation team during assigned shifts. · Responsible for effective sanitation of the various plant equipment and departments. · Must be able to follow equipment cleaning instructions as listed in the Sanitation Procedures Manual. · Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. · Must become familiar with cleaning chemicals by name, function, and usage rate and become chemical certified. · Timely notification to Maintenance and/or Supervisor of equipment problems. · Notify Supervisor of actual or potential problems. · Must be able to follow verbal instructions from Supervisor. · Must be detail oriented and be able to work independently. · Responsible for compliance with GMP's, proper sanitation, and housekeeping in area. · Responsible for use of required safety equipment and complying with proper safety procedures including wearing proper protective clothing, steal toe boots and safety googles at all times. Essential Skills + Knowledge of GMP standards. + bilingual Additional Skills & Qualifications + High school diploma with science classes and/or lab courses with 6 months to 1+ years of manufacturing experience in the food-related industry. + 0 to 2 years of quality experience is ideal but not mandatory. Job Overview: The Quality Technician performs a variety of tests to ensure units function according to specifications or to determine cause of unit failure, using test instruments: Reads test schedule, work orders, test manuals, performance specifications, and schematics to determine testing procedure and equipment to be used. Perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections per applicable prints and specifications. Responsibilities: Performs inspection of parts for conformance with engineering or other process specifications or instructions When applicable, use CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) Calibrate and verify accuracy on precision gages. Must follow gauging part check procedure. Identifying and monitoring production machine parameters. Monitoring and testing product/batch quality Needs working knowledge of GD&T and able to read part drawings. Utilizes performance, test, and inspection data to investigate causes for product nonconformance and field problems and plays an active role in problem resolution. Helps Identify areas of production/processes that can be improved upon. Qualifications: High School diploma or GED. 2+ years of experience in quality inspection experience in a factory environment Preferences: 3+ years of experience in quality in a manufacturing environment supporting industrial parts and product manufacturing Experience operating a CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine), programming experience a plus.
