Lab Technician (Entry) 3rd shift: MONDAY - FRIDAY 1 AM-10 AM 6 month contract PCR: The ideal Individual will support daily activities in the laboratory by leading general operations, housekeeping, orderliness, and cleanliness of the workspace. Other duties will include receiving and labeling of incoming samples, maintaining and receiving sufficient labware inventory, as well as preparing buffers and reagents. Troubleshooting and operating equipment needed for PCR Production will be needed. This Candidate will be responsible for reviewing and archiving task-related documents. Chipping: Responsible for organization and movement of physical samples. Responsible for performing designated physical seed quality analysis. The Technician will support and run automated lab equipment in a fast paced work environment while maintaining a high level of quality. Both lab areas: In addition, must have excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced global and multi-cultural environment. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) Bachelors degree (preferred) and related experience and/or training preferred. 1-3 Years of Experience. Understanding and following Employee Safety and Health (ESH) guidelines, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), workflow guidelines, and maintaining a safe work environment are needed. Being capable of managing multiple tasks, working effectively with more than one Supervisor, interfacing with other functions such as manufacturing and research personnel are encouraged.

Properly packages and identifies waste in accordance with regulatory requirements and Helena policy. Operates forklifts, hoists and other material handling equipment in the warehouse and production area to retrieve and deliver raw materials, packaging and finished products to and from the warehouse. Troubleshoots all line and formulation equipment. Performs online and preventive maintenance of department equipment. Moves operating, formulation and packaging equipment as directed. Completes all production batch sheets, OPM production entry and QA processes and procedures in a timely and accurate manner. Must be able to comply with all specified QA control methods and documentation. Develops a run plan using the processor manuals. Utilizes the run plan in training team members prior to a campaign. Performs QA tests including pH, density, emulsion, Karl Fisher, particle size, wet screen, dry screen and viscosity. May be responsible for leading members of the production line or production crew. Loads/unloads trucks received at dock as needed and completes related reports. Performs work in a safe and responsible manner at all times. Maintains a clean work environment both inside and outside the facility by using good housekeeping habits. Routinely participates in problem solving activities utilizing scientific thinking and other continuous improvement techniques. May be required to drive a company vehicle. Provides excellent customer service to all internal and external customers. Other work-related duties as assigned by your leader. Regular and reliable attendance is required. Knowledge of pumps and valves. Forklift Driver Certification. Lift truck operator certification is preferred. Uses computer for data entry into Oracle and Microsoft applications. Reading, writing and math skills. Mechanical aptitude. Required to complete production technician training program. Available to work rotating shifts, overtime and weekends as scheduled. Ability to stand for long periods of time in extreme hot and/or cold temperatures. Must be capable of passing an OSHA respirator physical. Valid U.S. driver's license is required to drive a company vehicle. Job Description Join Produce Innovations, a division of Loffredo Fresh Foods as a Full time Fresh Cut Quality Control Coordinator based out of our Norwalk, IA Branch. We are a local, family-owned food and produce distributor that has proudly served the Midwest region for over 130 years. We distribute to 11 different states across our 6 locations. The Fresh Cut Quality Control Coordinator is responsible for upholding the highest standards of food safety and product quality are maintained throughout the production process. This includes conducting routine inspections, calibrating equipment, performing audits, and supporting the plant's overall quality assurance efforts in compliance with regulatory and company policies. Responsible and a strong compliance to Food Safety and Employee Safety. Key Responsibilities: Routine Inspections: Conduct inspections of food production processes, including finished product quality, regulatory compliance, label verification, sanitation, employee GMPs, training compliance, and HACCP adherence. Place product on hold as necessary. Communication & Reporting: Report product quality issues to Production and Quality Management teams to address concerns quickly and effectively. Compliance Support: Provide quality support for all plant operations to ensure compliance with facility and government regulations, SOPs, GMPs, and food safety policies. Laboratory Equipment Calibration: Calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure accurate and reliable testing and analysis. Safety & SOP Adherence: Follow and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to Food and Employee Safety, GMPs, PPE, and hygiene to maintain a safe and compliant work environment. Production Inspections: Inspect all phases of plant production operations to ensure the overall quality and safety of finished products. Management Support: Support and follow directions from management, completing tasks with minimal supervision. Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned to contribute to the plant's overall quality and safety objectives. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED preferred with 0-2 years of experience. Acknowledge quality standards of products Must be a self-directed individual with the ability to relate to people at all levels of the organization.
