The QC Environmental Monitoring Technician is responsible for supporting parenteral manufacturing operations through routine environmental monitoring of classified manufacturing areas, as well as conducting clean utility sampling and analysis within both manufacturing and QC laboratory facilities. This role plays a critical part in ensuring compliance with cGMP requirements and maintaining a controlled manufacturing environment to support the production of safe and effective pharmaceutical products.
Key Responsibilities:
Adhere to and promote compliance with all cGMP procedures, Quality Systems, and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
Perform routine environmental monitoring of classified manufacturing areas to support both standard operations and Environmental Monitoring Performance Qualification (EMPQ) activities.
Conduct clean utility sampling and analysis, including but not limited to:
Compressed air
Potable water
Purified water
Water for Injection (WFI)
Clean steam
Support manufacturing and laboratory activities by providing timely and accurate environmental monitoring data.
Enumerate, review, and document sampling results in LIMS or other laboratory data systems.
Perform Second Person Verification (SPV) of environmental monitoring results on a routine basis.
Participate in continuous improvement projects and quality initiatives.
Assist with authoring and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions as required.
Adhere to and promote compliance with all site safety standards.
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred.
2+ years of experience performing Environmental Monitoring in a GMP pharmaceutical manufacturing environment, preferably supporting aseptic or parenteral production.
Demonstrated experience with environmental monitoring techniques, including:
Viable surface monitoring
Viable air monitoring
Non-viable air monitoring
Compressed air sampling
Water and clean utility sampling and analysis
Experience with laboratory systems such as LIMS, LES, and/or MODA.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong understanding of cGMP requirements and regulatory compliance.
Experience performing environmental monitoring within filling isolators or restricted access barrier systems (RABS).
Ability to train and mentor junior Environmental Monitoring Technicians.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Job Summary:

Know how to operate electric generators or compressors and pumps.
Ability to pull a STP that consists o f a motor head, up to 16' feed pipe with a Motor to the bottom which weighs approx. 70 lbs. needs to be removed and placed to the side during cleanings. This will be done with a helper.

Summary of Position
The Quality Technician is responsible for supporting the quality control and assurance processes within a company. This entry-level position is responsible for assisting with inspections, tests, data collection, and documentation to ensure that products or services meet the established quality standards and specifications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Perform quality controls following the Work Instructions (WI's) on raw materials, semi-finished, and finished products.
Monitor the variations in scrap products and raw materials (out of spec) that are rejected at the various steps of production flow. Make statistical evaluations and define corrective actions in collaboration with Management.
Suggest improvements of the WI's in order to reduce scrap and improve the performance of the finished product.
Improve the capacity for in-depth analysis and improvement of the process.
Continually support and train the Production staff on WI's, quality and process issues in cooperation with Management.
Perform final inspection of finished goods and perform defect analysis and pareto of defects.
Train backend personnel on quality defects and communicate defects
Create statistical analysis and reports on the quality of raw materials and finished product as required.
Utilize and maintain the supplied instruments of measurement according to WI and safety standards.
Monitor and audit operations, suggesting improvements to the tools of quality control used in the production line (vision systems, EL test, Sun Simulator, HiPOT, etc.) and in the QA room.
Manage, maintain, and calibrate the instruments of measurement in the production line and in the QA room.
Prepare reference modules for the calibration of solar simulator in collaboration with PTs and TLs.
Produce, in collaboration with the certified laboratories, "Master Modules" as required.
Suggest measures that will improve the traceability of the finished product.
Liaise with suppliers and customers when required.
In collaboration Management, produce and maintain all documentation required for the Quality manual in respecting the ISO standards.

Quality control technician job in Hickory, NC
The Quality Technician is responsible for inspecting and testing raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with customer specifications and internal quality standards in a corrugated box manufacturing environment. This role supports the quality assurance process by identifying defects, documenting findings, and working with production teams to resolve quality-related issues. This position requires the ability to travel to other company or customer sites on a weekly basis.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine testing of corrugated board and boxes, including but not limited to:
Edge Crush Test (ECT)
Box Compression Test (BCT)
Grammage, caliper, and moisture content
Adhesion/Polybond testing
Dimensional inspections and visual checks
Conduct first article inspections and in-process quality audits during production runs.
Ensure proper documentation of test results and non-conformance issues.
Accurately complete quality records including test reports, inspection forms, and control charts.
Work closely with machine operators and supervisors to identify and address quality issues in real time.
Maintain calibration and cleanliness of testing equipment and lab area.
Assist in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action efforts.
Verify packaging, labeling, and product appearance according to specifications.
Help monitor incoming raw materials for quality compliance.
Support customer complaint investigations and audits as needed.
Travel to customer sites or other company facilities as required, typically on a weekly basis.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in Quality, Manufacturing, or related field preferred.
1+ years of quality experience in manufacturing preferred; experience in the corrugated packaging industry a plus.
Skills & Competencies:
Familiarity with standard quality testing equipment and tools.
Understanding of quality systems and documentation practices.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Good math, measurement, and record-keeping skills.
Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, quality software systems).
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Must have a valid driver's license and be able to travel weekly, including potential overnight stays.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
Work performed in both office/lab and manufacturing floor environments.
Must be able to stand for extended periods, lift up to 40 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks.
Exposure to noise, dust, and machinery typical of a corrugated production facility.
Schedule & Compensation:
Full-time position, [day/night] shift, occasional overtime and weekly travel as required.
