JOB DEFINITION:
This is an entry level position and is provided with on-the-job training. After completion of job training, this position demonstrates skills and abilities to perform routine tasks assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS (Required):
Education: High School or equivalent education (GED) and some college level courses with lab work in general, analytical and/or organic chemistry.

Environment: This position works primarily in the laboratory areas. Requires good physical, visual, and mental attention. On occasion special safety equipment may be required for entry into a hazardous manufacturing area.
Waste Disposal: Isolation, remediation, containerizing RCRA hazardous waste generated in the assigned process area and under guidance of supervisory personnel.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Complete assigned jobs on time in as written in procedure. Assure accurate completion of tests to minimize retests on same sample. Understand and follow lab and company safety, quality, and behavioral policies. Maintain good relationship with plant personnel contacts. Responsible for safe and compliant handling of RCRA hazardous waste in accordance with all appropriate regulatory requirements. Notify Cost Center Leader and/or Quality Supervisor if any out of the ordinary conditions occur. Must be fully certified on Entry Level Lab Technician procedures within 12 months of hire and be recertified biennially. An Entry Level Lab Technician will not be considered for promotion if he/she is on probation for any reason.

**What you'll do**

We are seeking a Quality ControlTechnician to support the inspection, validation, and continuous improvement of newly manufactured industrial machinery. This role is hands-on and embedded directly in production, working closely with engineering, manufacturing, and service teams to ensure equipment meets customer specifications and internal quality standards.
This position plays a critical role in ensuring machinery is built right the first time-through in-process inspections, final equipment validation, and documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Perform quality inspections on all newly manufactured equipment, including in-process and final inspections
Review inspection checklists to ensure compliance with customer purchase agreements and equipment specifications
Serve as a liaison between Production and Engineering to communicate technical updates and quality requirements
Support overflow part inspections for machining operations as needed
Design and implement inspection, testing, and process control methods to improve quality outcomes
Document and maintain records of all machinery inspections and quality findings
Identify, troubleshoot, and recommend corrective actions for quality issues
Collaborate with and train production staff on quality control standards and procedures
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to quality, inspection, and process optimization
Work with the safety committee to ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) standards
Communicate quality findings, trends, and recommendations to leadership
Support service teams as needed during new equipment installations
Perform additional duties as required to support manufacturing and quality objectives
Education & Experience
Associate degree in Engineering or equivalent experience (electrical or mechanical preferred)
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial equipment environment
Technical Skills
Strong understanding of basic electrical and mechanical principles
Working knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
Experience using electronic test equipment
Proficiency with precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.)

Prepare inspection and test plans; document testing, measurements, inspection reports and other quality reports; maintain necessary quality-related files and compile necessary documents for project turnover to owner
Identify and report non-conforming work, track on non-conformance log, and assist with issuing related reports
Oversee development and review of daily construction reports, field observation reports, punch lists, quality reports, and as-built drawings
Stay abreast of federal, industry and company standards - educate project teams of compliance requirements/changes
Partner with project safety team to determine hazards and identify needs or processes to remedy, proactively eliminate, or minimize hazards
Ensure inspections, observations, and punch list are documented and stored correctly
Monitor project site adherence to company quality plan and standards, propose updates/modifications to management
Utilize virtual and physical mock-ups to establish quality standards and identify lean processes to improve field productivity
Establish and maintain positive working relationships with owners, architects, subcontractors, vendors and internal team members
What We're Looking For:

OSHA certification is a plus
