Role Description
The LeVanta engineering technician will help build and test prototypes, requiring extensive hands-on work. The technician will also be expected to work independently with a creative and proactive approach, identifying potential problems and offering solutions. Tasks include but are not limited to engineering research, product/component design, test and data analysis, and hands on fabrication of prototype drone components, drones, and drone testing apparatus and support infrastructure.
The start-up environment is dynamic, lean, demanding, and fast-paced. Job DescriptionThis job will be on Weekends, Friday- Sunday 6:00 AM- 6:00 PM. The Quality Technician is responsible for supporting the Quality and Regulatory teams by ensuring all quality control processes are adhered to in the manufacturing environment. This role involves performing receiving inspections, in-process inspections, managing non-conforming materials, and ensuring calibration requirements are met. The Quality Technician plays a key role in maintaining product quality and promoting a strong quality culture within the company.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with Quality and Regulatory Management to ensure that all quality and regulatory requirements are met.
Perform receiving inspections to ensure incoming materials meet specified quality standards.
Conduct in-process inspections to verify that products comply with specifications throughout the manufacturing process.
Manage non-conforming materials, including documentation, segregation, and disposition in accordance with company procedures.
Ensure the completion and documentation of gage calibration activities, ensuring all measurement tools and equipment are properly calibrated.
Maintain accurate records of inspections, calibrations, and quality-related data to support compliance with regulatory and quality standards.
Assist in resolving quality issues, working with cross-functional teams to address defects and improve manufacturing processes.
Serve as a role model for the company's quality culture, promoting adherence to quality standards and procedures across the organization.
Collaborate with suppliers, contractors, and internal teams to ensure quality issues are addressed and resolved effectively.
Perform tasks and assignments as needed to meet the operational needs of the business, including supporting special projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality control or quality assurance in a manufacturing environment (preferred).
Familiarity with quality inspection methods, including receiving and in-process inspections, and managing non-conforming materials.
Understanding of calibration requirements and the ability to maintain gage calibration records.
Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, contractors, suppliers, and customers.
Proficiency in quality management software and tools is a plus.
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve quality issues.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
