Job Purpose
This is a 3
rd
shift position. Shift hours are 10:00PM until 6:30AM. May be subject to change based on operations and business necessity. Weekend and overtime work will be required based on production and operational needs. This position requires regular and prompt attendance during the working hours scheduled by the Department Supervisor.
Under regular supervision, performs required tests, and quality control inspections of raw materials, in process batches, and finished goods. Accurately records, communicates, and files results. Performs routine line inspections on the production floor.
Duties and Responsibilities
Performs quality control inspections on production samples. Performs chemical and microbiological analysis on raw materials and final products to verify adherence to stated specifications.
Performs routine line inspections, audits, and equipment checks on the production floor.
Uses keen observation skills, clear communication skills, and good judgment to catch, address, and prevent production errors.
Approves release of products and materials.
Maintains various production and raw material testing and problem logs and records.
Stores production and raw material samples.
In consultation with supervision, takes proper steps to troubleshoot problems in the lab and on the production floor.
Maintains lab equipment and keeps work area clean.
Performs all operations according to all established Safety Policies, Good Lab Practices, Good Manufacturing Practices, and Standard Operating Procedures.
Reports and takes necessary action to prevent food safety and food quality problems from occurring.
Communicates effectively, efficiently, and in a timely manner within the quality department and with other departments throughout the plant at all levels.
Performs sanitation inspections on equipment and facility to maintain a sanitary and food safe environment.

Qualifications and Experience
Minimum Education Required: 4 Year degree in a science related field or 1 year minimum of equivalent experience in a QA or laboratory setting.

Ability to use various laboratory equipment.
Ability to perform inspections on the production floor.
This position requires regular and prompt attendance during the working hours scheduled by the Department Manager.

The quality technician contributes to the quality of processes and products by performing audits, inspections, and testing. Provides production expertise to resolve quality issues within the production operation, taking corrective action to rectify nonconformance issues. Reports quality issue data and ensures the quality management system is adhered to at all stages. Inspects and tests incoming parts from supply chain companies, performs first article inspection, calibrates tools and gauges, analyzes customer returns, controls documents, and assists with disposition of nonconforming product.
Primary Responsibilities:
* Verify that established quality and production processes are being followed through in-process quality inspections and help administer corrective actions when it is found that the processes are not being followed.
* Develop procedures, work instructions, and forms to support production processes.
* Administer the document control system.
* Review and store production inspection records.
* Assist with production training in soldering and ESD prevention.
* Address issues that arise during production builds.
* Conduct incoming inspection of purchased parts to ensure conformance to required specifications, address and escalate discrepancies, and maintain records.
* Complete first article inspection and documentation.
* Assist with adherence to the quality management system and ISO 9001. Advise all functional areas regarding quality system measurements and procedures.
* Attend and report at regular improvement meetings, contributing to corrective and preventive actions to external and internal quality related concerns.
* Use the calibration system, ensuring all equipment in use has a current calibration. Calibrate torque guns, gauges, instruments, and hand tools.
* Assist with analysis of returned material from customers in accordance with the return material authorization (RMA) process: identify extent of problems involved, rework/repair as feasible, and record results in detail.
* Assist with problem solving, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
* Monitor and determine disposition of components and assemblies rejected by Production with a red tag.

Essential Functions
The nutrition lab tech demonstrates knowledge and execution of a skillset necessary to meet the needs of daily operations in the Nutrition Center. They understand appropriate interpretation of the EMR formula and breastmilk orders. They respond to and triage requests from nursing, caregiver(s)/family, providers, and other ancillary support team members in a timely manner. They appropriately utilize and manage technology used in the day-to-day preparation, labeling and delivery of nutritional feedings and complete regulatory compliance inspection of all formula and nutritional modular products received in the Nutrition Center and other storage areas. • Breastmilk Procedures (Twice Daily): This role requires breastmilk collection from patient bedside to be performed safely, accurately and in a timely manner. The tech receives breastmilk properly into Timeless Women's & Infants™ system for inventory management and properly stores received breastmilk in designated refrigerators or freezers. Fortified feedings need to be prepared accurately per the provider order twice daily, using aseptic technique and unit dosing. When skimmed milk is ordered, the tech must properly skim breastmilk using the designated centrifuge. The tech must ensure prepared feedings are held properly at controlled temperature prior to delivery and deliver prepared feedings to the bedside refrigerator in a safe and timely manner. • Donor Human Milk (DHM) This role requires maintenance of DHM inventory (ordering, receiving, storage) following HMBANA regulations for safe storage and usage of DHM. The tech must properly prepare fortified feedings using DHM when ordered. • Formula Procedures (Once Daily): This role requires ordered formula preparation using aseptic technique in 24-hour batch dosing. The tech must ensure prepared feedings are held properly at controlled temperature prior to delivery and deliver prepared formula feedings to the bedside refrigerator in a safe and timely manner, removing any expired formula products.

We are seeking a Bioanalytical Laboratory Technician (PBMC) to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on innovative projects, supporting critical processes within a clinical lab setting. This is a full-time role, working onsite in Lincoln, NE. We are seeking candidates who are local to the Lincoln area.
About the Role:
As a Bioanalytical Laboratory Technician, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring quality and compliance in our lab operations. Your expertise in sterile working, PBMC isolation techniques, and cell counting will directly contribute to our projects' success. We are committed to maintaining high standards in line with regulatory requirements and Celerion SOPs. We are looking for someone who values precision and integrity in their work.
What You'll Do:
* Maintain contamination-free processes through sterile techniques.
* Perform PBMC isolation techniques and cell counting to support various analyses.
* Adhere to regulatory standards and SOPs, ensuring compliance across all tasks.
* Accurately document all lab activities and results, supporting traceability and quality control.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project timelines and objectives.
* Cover occasional shift work to meet laboratory and project demands.
Who You Are:
* Experienced in sterile laboratory environments.
* Experienced with pipetting and working in a biosafety cabinet.
* Able to learn regulatory standards for a CAP/CLIA, GMP, GLP, or GCP setting.
* Detail-oriented, with a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of laboratory quality and compliance.
* Able to work Monday - Friday, during normal business hours and flexible to cover occasional evening or weekend shifts as needed. This could include possible overtime opportunities.
* Possess a learning mindset and a curiosity for science.
* Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Two or Four-year degree in Biological Sciences, Biology, Forensics, or a related field.Familiarity with laboratory information management systems (LIMS).Experience with PBMC isolation and cell counting.
