Our Production team makes large steel casting belts from steel sheets and coil stock using large automatic and semi-automatic machinery. These casting belts weigh between 70 and 350 pounds and involve teamwork in order to manipulate them on and off the equipment.
What you will do:
Manufacturing these metal belts requires shearing, welding (GTAW), grinding welds, washing, grit blasting and coating with specialized thermal spray equipment, this team is also responsible for the boxing and crating of the belts which involves cutting, nailing and stapling of stick lumber and OSB sheathing. We are willing to train the right candidate.
We are looking for a Production Technician 2nd shift (Belt Shop) to join our team working 4-night weeks, Monday - Thursday on second shift, 4:00pm-2:00am.

Primary duties include identifying content issues, developing and enforcing quality standards, and collaborating with teams to provide various client deliverables in a timely manner.
**What you'll do**
+ Data Assessment: Review facility condition and asset data for content, structure, and quality, and identify anomalies and inconsistencies. Must have fluency of the English language, as it relates to grammar, punctuation, and spelling. Must be able to compare data criteria/fields for content, agreement, and technical accuracy.
+ Standards Adherence: Collaborate with team members to ensure that the comprehensive quality standards and metrics (e.g., accuracy, completeness, timeliness) are met. Must be able to switch between sets of rules pertaining to each client and project.
+ Data Cleansing and Resolution: Identify and rectify errors, inconsistencies, and redundancies within facility condition assessment and asset datasets.
+ Monitoring and Reporting: Evaluate and provide corrective action of data quality, create reports for facility capital planning engagements.
+ Process Improvement: Recommend changes to existing processes, entry, and deliverable workflow. Must be a team player and not afraid to ask questions. Must be comfortable in a fast-paced, high-volume setting and managing projects and deadlines.

The Process Technician will have areas of responsibility with respect to production: processing, materials, and mold setting. He or she must have the ability to efficiently set-up, start-up, and maintain 35 to 500 ton molding machines and associated auxiliary equipment while overseeing operations. Will also see that raw material is handled and processed correctly, and will ensure that employees are adequately supervised and have safe working conditions.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Diagnose and correct problems with the molding processes, including molds, set ups, automation, etc.
* Perform mold set-up, start-up, troubleshooting, repair and approval of production runs using accepted quality standards.
* Interface with the Quality, Materials and Scheduling personnel to ensure efficient resolution of problems and minimal machine downtime.
* Monitor molding parameters using approved techniques, to ensure conformance to quality guidelines and standard cycles.
* Initiate MCA's and work orders to correct problems with molds, molding machines and auxiliary equipment.
* Comprehend and work with material handling systems.
* Coordinate and assist with training and corrective action completion/monitoring.
* Supervise shift employees and manage the performance process, including conducting performance reviews and disciplinary actions.
* Maintain housekeeping and organization of entire production floor and warehouse (5s').
* Coordinate staffing and/or machine assignments, including prioritization of secondary operations, mold changes, processing problems.
* Read and follow all instructions on the Quality Assurance Requirements document (QAR).

Responsibilities:
Responsible for upholding the Quality Management System and GMP standards during your assigned shift.
This could entail anything from startup activities to in-process tasks or shutdown requirements.
Ensure that all regulatory compliance is upheld at all times.
Your daily duties will include the 5S and Process Audit program, part containment management, scrap tracking, material handling, maintenance requests completion, as well as mold sets/pulls.
Required Qualifications:
2+ years experience as a Process Technician.
You will have experience in performing line clearance activities per corporate methods.
You will have experience in process, robotic, cycle time verification during start-up and submit start-up shots to Quality per QAR/CP.
You will have experience in completing in-process mold PMs at the prescribed frequency identified in the Process Binder.
