As a Quality Control Lab Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest specifications in the industry for our organic products. You will work closely with the production team to perform live flour evaluations, monitor product quality throughout the production process, and ensure that our customers receive only the best organic flours. This position requires strong ability to catch and remember details, a sense of urgency, and a positive attitude. This job is full time and in person at the hours listed. Key Responsibilities - Conduct repeatable flour evaluation tests and monitor products against specification sheets. Learn to operate laboratory equipment and software, achieving accurate results. Performing routine cleaning and maintenance of lab equipment. - Perform lab tests using both sensory analysis and standard laboratory procedures. Document results and communicate them to management and production teams. - Maintain a clean and safe laboratory environment by adhering to Food Safety and GMP policies. Contribute to other cleaning duties outside of the lab as requested. - Assist the Quality Control Manager with lab and food safety initiatives, as well as other projects as needed, including packaging for e-commerce distribution. - Determine daily prioritization and preparation of incoming samples for testing. - Participate in cross-functional teams and contribute to research and development projects. - Maintain a stock of supplies and communicate needs to purchasing. Qualifications - Education: Bachelor's Degree - Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Quality Control or lab work. Experience in food service or baking is a plus. - Strong time management and organizational skills. - Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively. - Very high attention to detail and a commitment to quality. - A sense of urgency and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Maintains customer portals for PPAPs and deviations. Maintains PPAP log to ensure timely submissions. Provide Production and Engineering team process capability studies as requested. Performs Quality Audits of the Production Products/Process as required and provides reports of results to the Management Team. Complies and maintains quality records/reports in preparation for quality and management meetings. Documents sequence changes as needed to meet requirements. Support when needed in performing validation or calibration for Fixtures and Tooling including all documentation required for this function. Perform training and guidance to Quality Product Auditors as required. Responsible for assisting in continuous improvement initiatives, training and development. Accurately complete all required paperwork in a timely manner. Communicate with other departments as necessary. Keep work areas clean and organized. Adhere to all company rules and policies. We are in the process of assembling a world class team of individuals to operate this facility and are looking for Quality Assurance Inspectors. : :: Qualifications: Requirements for this position would include but not be limited to the following: Inspects and tests products for quality defects in the manufacturing process and reports issues and concerns to various departments. Ensures all equipment, guards, and safety devices are in place at all times, and follows safe work procedures and safety rules. Performs continual quality control checks to ensure product is running within specifications. Audits various applications to product to ensure SOP specifications are met. Analyze spoilage, record causes, and take corrective actions where applicable. Monitors processes and reports all problems to supervision through interaction and required paperwork. Advise management and coach fellow co-workers on matters regarding quality issues. Follows all SOP requirements and intercedes or challenges proper personnel when defects are present in production runs. Notify supervisor of any incidents of recurring equipment malfunctions and corrective action taken and of any poor-quality material or supplies noted. Interacts and reports to/with the Quality Manager in creation and revisions of SOP's (standard operating procedures) as changes and additions require. Keeps area safe, clean, and organized. Performs other related duties as required. This position will also help to provide training for equipment operation and reinforce all safety procedures. Minimum Requirements Experience with maintaining accurate records as well as experience with accurate measurement capability. A strong knowledge of computer skills with a focus on the Microsoft Office package. Knowledge and work history of focusing on quality and safety in every aspect of the job. Proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects/tasks at the same time. Effective and proven communication skills (both written and verbal) working in a team environment. The ability to travel domestically for training within the first one or two months with the Company. Must be able to work twelve (12) hour shifts, both day and evening. Preferred Requirements 3+ years of production experience, specifically in the areas of quality assurance or production control experience. An associate's degree or equivalent is a benefit as well as any quality related training or certification. Working experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment is preferred.
