GENERAL DUTIES:
The Infection Control Coordinator (ICC) is responsible for managing, developing and having direct oversight of the Infection Control Program hospital wide. The ICC will work directly with Infection Control Medical Director and coordinates activities to ensure regulatory and state requirements are adhered to. The ICC is responsible for training and direct oversight of the Infection Control Practitioner to ensure consistency in infection control practices throughout the hospital.
Position Summary:
Coordinates the multiple facets of the Infection Control Program
Implements and designs programs which educate Staff on IC principals
Assists Hospital Compliance and Patient Safety with maintaining regulatory Infection Control Standards to protect all hospital patients and visitors (with emphasis on populations at high risk for infections)
Acts as hospital liaison for corporate quality Infection Control Issues
Partners with the Hospital Environmental Safety Officer on Environment of Care Issues involving Infection Control
Partners with the Employee Occupational Health Department to assure Infection Control principals are maintained to protect all hospital volunteers, and staff

Job Summary: Inspects, measures, sorts, and samples machined, fabricated, and assembled parts for deviations from specifications, defects, and damage. Utilizes precision measuring instruments and complex measurement equipment.
Essential Functions:
Analyze and interpret technical data, including engineering drawings, source control drawings, data, manuals, and other materials, to determine specifications, inspection procedures, and the proper measuring instruments required.
Measure and document dimensions of products to verify conformance to drawings or specifications using measuring instruments such as rulers, calipers, gauge pins, micrometers, or other measuring equipment.
Inspect or measure materials, products, and production work for conformance to drawings and specifications. Visual inspection with and without a microscope.
Reject and document products, materials, and equipment not meeting specifications.
Notify supervisors and other personnel of production problems and assist in identifying and correcting these problems. Discuss inspection results with those responsible for products and suggest possible corrective actions.
Document inspection results and process jobs in the appropriate sections of our ERP system.
Ability to create and update inspection reports from engineering drawings and other specifications.
Ability to learn to operate complex inspection equipment such as Optical Comparator, CMM and Vision Inspection Systems.
Competencies:
Strong Verbal and Written Communication skills, including PC Computer and Microsoft Office
Very strong Attention to Detail
Math skills sufficient to determine sampling quantities based on lot size and understand dimensional tolerances
Competent with basic hand-measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers
Time Management Skills
Familiarity with basic Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
Education/Experience:
High School Diploma/GED
Minimum 2-3 years related work experience
Additional academic training in Quality/Inspection desired
Certification by the American Society for Quality (ASQ) as a Quality Inspector (CQI) a plus
Supervisory Responsibility: This position has no supervisory responsibilities
Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites is considered moderate.
Physical Demands: Requires regular, predictable, attendance and punctuality. Requires prolonged periods or sitting, occasional standing, stooping, bending and reaching and repetitive hand movements. Must have the ability to routinely lift objects up to 30lbs and occasionally lift objects up to 50 pounds with assistance. Requires eye-hand coordination and dexterity sufficient to operate machinery and computer equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and vision, including color vision. Operating and ensuring the quality control of all equipment utilized in the cardiac cath lab. Knowledge of all related equipment within the laboratory.
Scrubbing in during procedures, assisting the physician in maneuvering catheters.
Obtaining and recording hemodynamic, electrical, and angiographic data by operating-hemodynamic and electrical amplifiers and digital and line fluoroscopic equipment.
Monitoring the patient's hemodynamic status during procedures in the cardiac cath lab.
Participating in life-saving measures such as defibrillation and cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
Cath Lab techs should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty.
Must have 1 year of experience. The Cath Lab Tech must have BLS, ACLS, ARRT (R) -CI preferred or CCI-RCIS certification, and state specific licensing when required.
