To coordinate the development, implementation, and evaluation of the hospital's overall quality improvement (QI) program, which includes all ancillary, nursing, and medical staff departments, to identify trends, prioritize and recommend improvements, decrease duplication, and ensure regulatory compliance. To investigate incident reports, patient complaints, patient care issues, and other issues as requested by the Director. Responsible for supporting the assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation and documentation of Valley View Medical Center's Quality Assurance, Risk Management, and Performance Improvement functional areas. This includes providing personnel support and direction for projects and process improvements to effectuate patient safety throughout the organization.

Minimum Education

Minimum Work Experience


A minimum of three years' clinical nursing experience, with one year in medical/surgical nursing preferred.

Purpose:

This specification defines the job description of a Quality Coordinator at Adient, Murfreesboro, TN facility, as per the direction of the Employee Hiring Procedure.

Scope:
This specification applies to the Murfreesboro, TN JIT plant.

Responsibility:
Annual auditing event and related tasks - prepare, participation, or conduct BOS, CCC, IATF16949, customer audits, and R/GSQM event-related assignments.Monthly and quarterly BOS change notice review and implementation enforcement - understand and interpret requirements, conduct training, facilitate, enforce and monitor the implementation.Preventive and Improvement actions - project or program-specific tasks to plan and conduct an investigation and search for solutions and follow through with the PDCA cycle.Day-to-day data collection, distribution, and monitoring - scrap, DCS, eLPA, QA, change request, AVES, month end, plus any other reporting duties such as document/record review and control, etc.Any other tasks as assigned - general, quality management specific (monitor / maintain day-to-day quality control related reports, verify/validate corrective action status) Must be willing to abide by the company handbook regarding following safety rules and job rotations.Participate in communications events such as plant-wide meetings, line meetings, department meetings, and training exercises. Assist the plant in achieving safety goals and achieving and maintaining AMS objectives.

The Clinical Quality Coordinator II is responsible and accountable for providing Quality / No Harm, Customer Experience, and Stewardship by measuring the functioning

of important processes and services, identifying changes that enhance performance, ensuring the improvements are sustained, and maintaining a continuous level of patient safety and accreditation readiness with regulatory agencies.
Primary Accountabilities
* Proactively seeks opportunities to identify and reduce risks to the safety of patients.
* Knowledgeable of the Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) processes.
* Acts as a resource with regulatory agencies and makes recommendations for compliance, and prepares mandatory requirements as required.
* Coordinates and provides direction to the facility's quality committees, including medical staff, nursing and hospital based committees or others as assigned, by providing accurate and timely information and written communication.
* Provides accurate and timely clinical data to appropriate committees or groups and identifies opportunities for improvements.
* Acts a resource for data abstraction and analysis as requested by departments and the medical staff.
* Coordinates and provides support to the clinical peer review process by providing accurate and timely information for quality initiatives.
* Oversight for the Department Indicator monitoring and performance measurement for the corporate and facilities goals.

* RN with at least 5 years acute care clinical experience.
* Minimum of 4 years experience in clinical settings in quality improvement required.
* Current license to practice nursing in the State of Florida required.
* Bachelor's degree nursing or related science preferred.
* Demonstrated proficiency with computer software, word processing, graphics, spreadsheet, GroupWise and Microsoft Office.
* Presentation skills and knowledge of presentation software required.
* Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational skills.
* Ability to maintain positive working relationships with all levels within the organization.
* Analytical abilities required to recognize and resolve problems requiring technical or clinical Interventions.
* Able to prioritize work and manage time.
* Able to work flexible hours for early and late meetings.
