ABOUT THE JOB The Production Planning Manager is responsible for the production scheduling process of the Conyers Plant in the liquid products division. The Production Planning Manager will analyze and manage the Master Demand Plan based on demand forecast, historical sales, customer input, and other supply signals to produce an effective site supply plan; while overseeing the production scheduling process will ensure the customers demand plan is properly executed promoting the site efficiency, maximizing customer service and minimizing inventory. This position requires strong analytical, cross functional leadership, communication and collaboration. WHAT YOU'LL DO * Manages the execution of replenishment strategy for finished goods not produced on site * Manages Schedulers in the development and accuracy of the Weekly Schedule for Liquid Products * Ensures the Master Plan is being executed along with fill rate and inventory measure goals * Ensures RM availability to support the master production schedule. Proactively develops solutions to issues to ensure on time deliveries from suppliers at an order fulfillment level and engaging others when appropriate * Manages Working Capital for raw materials and finished goods to Plan * Minimizes scrap due to expiration and obsolescence. * Monitors finished goods and raw materials to reduce excess inventory and reduce shortages * Generates various inventory reports shared across several cross-functional teams * Maintains clear communication with Sales, Product Development, Quality Assurance, Customer Service, Operations, and Procurement to ensure the organization has a solid plan to execute * Ensures issues are resolved in a timely manner and escalates to Directory of Supply Chain in a timely manner * Review and recommend improvements, including ERP system changes, ERP maintenance and/or parameters updating, to improve planning processes * Provides periodically updated inventory reports by customer and identifies any and all risk by SKU * Assist in the development of the annual demand plan budget * Develops and reports KPI metrics * Participates in required Planning Optimization Projects * Performs other related and assigned duties as necessary. WHAT YOU'LL NEED Education/Certification: Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration, Management, Supply Chain preferred Experience: 5 to 10 years of relevant work and/or supervisory experience in Planning, Scheduling and Logistics in a manufacturing environment.
