Quality Technicians are responsible for assuring that manufactured items are made or assembled correctly, and that the products meet customer standards. Quality Technicians work with the manufacturing Process Technicians and Operators to maintain quality standards by approving in-process production, conducting visual checks, and approving finished products, recording the quality results while maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Reports/Records quality problems or findings to shift process tech and follows up with quality forms to ensure that corrective action has/will take place. If there is a problem and product does not meet specification, work with process tech to figure out the root cause. Sort, rework product from containment area as required, confirming rework. Oversee assigned presses, assist operators on part visual acceptability and process procedures as required. Relieve operators during break periods if needed.
