About the Role The primary objective of this position is to drive cost improvements in our distribution operations through improved methods, systems, capital investments and process in the physical distribution of products. Provides industrial and process engineering to support our domestic Logistics Centers and Configuration & Integration Operations. Is accountable for engineering support including budgets, layout, design, space planning, material handling/equipment specification and associated process design and documentation. Provides engineering support for all safety and ergonomic engineering of all operations as well as process evaluation and improvement. The Quality Technician will be required weekly to pull a random sample of TNC mag products based upon a predetermined rate per quantity delivered, perform a QC test on the random sample set, record the results of the tested products and communicate to various departments when units fail testing. Be able to access the local WMS and ERP systems to make entries and review product demands. These units will be stored in a segregated location that the Quality Technician will be required to cycle count on a weekly basis. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES : · Carries out process improvement, problem resolution, project management and employee training · Improves manufacturing processes and methods for cost-reduction, quality improvement and efficiency · Prepares and presents plans for the above and coordinate deployment including training of team members · Assists Operations in improving a system of production control, standard operating procedures, safety, quality control and training · Performs research, design and development of manufacturing processes including production flow, assembly methods and production equipment · Prepares and maintains detailed layouts of buildings and equipment · Coordinates the manufacturing launch of new/revised products including establishing goals, training team members and evaluating results · Designs, develops, and tests and/or sources and cost-justifies various tools, machinery, and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods · Performs product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, and improved efficiency · Assist in the day-to-day resolution of problems arising on the production floor · Represents manufacturing on cross-functional teams

The Manufacturing Engineer-Weld position will act as the main point of contact for all weld processes and production support. Working collaboratively with cross functional teams, the ME-Weld, will be responsible for continuously improving the welding processes in safety, quality, delivery, and cost. This role will support all welding applications and provide technical expertise in a hands-on environment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES : · Act as the point of contact for all weld processes and production support (MIG, TIG, Robotics) · Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to continuously improve the welding processes in safety, quality, delivery and cost · Support all welding applications and provide technical expertise · Identify, evaluate, and implement new weld technology, equipment and processes · Define, document, and control weld process and procedures · Train, coach, and mentor cross-functional teams for consistent weld processing · Design, build, test, and implement production tooling where necessary · Assist cross-functional teams for new model launch · Assist in the day-to-day resolution of weld problems arising on the production floor · Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or related field desired, or equivalent qualification or a combination of job-related education · Lean manufacturing experience preferred · Read, interpret, create production documentation · Proficient with fabrication and welding equipment · Proficient with Office, CAD, SolidWorks · Results-oriented and self-driven · Strong leadership and training abilities · Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities · Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision · Ability to lift/manipulate 40lbs, large components, tools throughout the day is preferred Equal Opportunity Employer Minorities/Women/Protected Veterans/Disabled
