We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing / Pinpoint Engineer to support assembly planning and execution for Building Construction Products and Earthmoving Equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Pinpoint application setup and integration, along with hands-on experience in assembly line optimization and continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Provide assembly planning support for Building Construction and Earthmoving equipment. Set up Assembly Value Streams in Pinpoint, including Sections, Stations, Zones, and Assembly operations. Configure Pinpoint with Torque tools, fixtures, and in-process validation (IPV) checks. Integrate Torque tools, sockets, and quality inspection devices with Pinpoint to enhance preventive controls and interlock mechanisms. Implement Andon process integration with Pinpoint and develop dashboards for station/zone metrics (Cycle time, Material downtime, Tool/Fixture downtime). Work with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MESA) for assembly operations. Update Standard Work and Visual Work Instructions per established guidelines. Drive Continuous Improvement projects to improve throughput and quality, including Value Stream Mapping (VSM). Support manufacturing operations by providing tooling, processes, and equipment to meet shop needs. Establish standards and collaborate with shop personnel to resolve process, tooling, and equipment issues. Required Skills & Qualifications: 10+ years total experience in Manufacturing/Assembly Engineering. Mandatory Pinpoint experience in setting up assembly lines and integrating tools. Strong knowledge of Assembly Value Streams, Torque tools, fixtures, IPV checks, and Andon systems. Familiarity with MESA systems and production tracking dashboards. Expertise in Continuous Improvement methodologies (Lean, VSM). Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Determine necessary equipment and process design to manufacture products in an economical manner while maintaining fit, form, function and quality standards. Provide proper documentation, training and communication of product/process related information to supervisors and shop personnel. Work with Design Engineering to make improvements in the design of the products to reduce cost, improve quality and manufacturability. Lead process improvement projects. Investigate and make recommendations on the procurement of equipment to improve the manufacturing process. Process Engineering Change Notices in a timely manner and communicate those changes to the appropriate shop personnel. Process Engineering Change Requests in a timely manner and investigate what is being asked to be changed to make sure it is best for the company. Improve safety in manufacturing by analyzing current and proposed manufacturing processes. EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED: 3+ years experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience with CNC Programming preferred. Experience with CNC equipment, including VMC, Lathe, Brake Press preferred. Experience with Gibbs Cam Software preferred. Experience with AutoCAD is a plus. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles a plus. Good interpersonal skills and good written and oral communication skills. Good computer skills, with knowledge of word processing and spreadsheets. Pay Disclosure Salary Range for Illinois Based Applicants: $125,000-$157,000 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
