Essential Functions, Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and manage processes and procedures for plant quality improvements.

Knowledge and Critical Skill Requirements:
Bachelor of Science in Food Science or related field.
7+ years of food industry experience in QA
3-5 years of department leadership

Knowledge of FDA and USDA specification regulations and documentation requirements.

This position is responsible for ensuring the lab is fully equipped and operating, ensuring product analysis is completed, out of specification product is placed on hold, coordinating all certificates of analysis, and training other team members on performing product testing procedures for Anchor Ingredients Co., LLC Hillsboro facilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinate samples for bias adjustments. Run sample in house, send to third party lab and then enter 3rd party lab results into Mosaic Manager
Perform quality testing on in-process samples and lot/load samples
Perform mycotoxin testing on samples
Coordinate samples when needed for mycotoxin test method validation with Neogen
Perform calibration and maintenance activities on lab testing equipment
Complete daily check samples on NIR
Maintain clean environment for lab are and lab equipment.
Work with QA Manager and Plant QA manager on updating lab manual documentation and defining and writing new procedures when needed
Keep inventory of testing supplies and reorder as needed to ensure adequate supply is maintained
Ensure COA's are sent for all outbound orders shipping from the facility(s). Coordinate sampling/testing for loads that are scheduled to leave outside of lab hours.
Print COA's and send with drivers
Email COAs to the customer QA department
Review internal lab results for compliance to specifications. Work with QA Manager and Ops team when results are starting to trend near out of spec limits

POSITION SUMMARY
The Quality Engineer works under the guidance of the Quality Manager and is responsible for supporting improvements in product quality and first pass yield. POSITION SUMMARY
The Quality Engineer works under the guidance of the Quality Manager and is responsible for supporting improvements in product quality and first pass yield. This is accomplished by identifying quality improvement opportunities, collecting Statistical Process Control (SPC) data, and assisting the quality and production team members with projects related to eliminating in process defects and performing root cause analysis of customer quality complaints. The Quality Engineer helps develop corrective actions, continuous improvement projects, and participates or leads in their completion. CORE FUNCTIONS
Identify and lead projects in facilities to implement corrective actions that are sustainable to resolve process defects and customer quality issues.
Seek out areas to improve quality and function in facilities.
Collect, analyze, and report real time data related to defect improvement projects and provide support for facility improvement initiatives.
Manage the collection of analysis of SPC data.
Monitor incoming material quality and conduct discussions and visits with vendors when quality issues arise on purchased product.
Drive corrective actions related to incoming materials.
Conduct and lead continuous improvement projects in multiple facilities and ensure correct documentation is completed to support outcomes.
Promote the use of SPC techniques to help reduce variability and achieve process control.
Provide support to the production team in the implementation of changes to drive quality improvements.
Provide New Product Development support by participating in Process and Design FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis).
Prepare PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) requests for supplier submission and their subsequent review when received from suppliers.
Conduct First Article piece part Inspections for Prototype and First Production Run of new components.

POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our Manufacturing Engineering team. This role is responsible for supporting all manufacturing engineering activities within assigned manufacturing cell(s), including facilitating lean manufacturing initiatives, implementing Engineering Change Notifications (ECNs), maintaining cell layouts, creating Standard Work Instructions (SWIs), and supporting capital and facility upgrades. WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Provide manufacturing engineering support and services within assigned manufacturing cell(s).
Work as a collaborative member of the cell team to meet operational metrics and implement remedial actions as needed.
Maintain current updates on manufacturing engineering-related tasks in the manufacturing cell log.
Represent manufacturing engineering at daily cell meetings and weekly plant metrics meetings.
Design or specify equipment, tooling, or racking required to support manufacturing.
Review and implement ECNs within assigned cells or option groups.
Assign default locators to all parts within assigned manufacturing cells.
Create SWIs and hot sheets and train personnel on these standards.
Update and maintain plant and cell layouts, including inventory, housekeeping, emergency, and security maps.
Specify and facilitate capital and equipment upgrades, installations, or modifications.
Implement and facilitate lean manufacturing initiatives (5S, value stream mapping, setup reduction, etc.).
Promote a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork.

POSITION SUMMARY:
