Position Responsibilities
Analyze existing production processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and potential areas for improvement.
Experience with ramping up production volumes from low initial rates to higher volume full rate productions with demonstrated success.
Develop and implement process improvements using Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
Implement and manage lean application development at site level, including but not limited to training on lean tools, assessments, and site development action plans.
Generate value stream maps, identify opportunities for improvement, manage improvement plan.
Develop capacity models for new and current production processes. Analyze and maintain models after improvements. Experience with Digital Twin Simulation software for modeling, scenario management, and optimization of factory processes.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)
Bachelor's degree required in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Advanced degree, MBA or MS is preferred.
5-8 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
Advanced understanding in Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
Ability to work at a minimum of 80% of the time on the production floor.
Experience with simulation software (e.g., SIMIO) and CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).

· Plan and execute structured process development experiments to achieve the target yield, process optimization, product quality, scale-up and process robustness objectives.
· Play a pivotal role in the establishment of a GMP manufacturing facility to produce plasmid DNA active pharmaceutical ingredient (API).
· Document work thoroughly with a detail-oriented approach, write concise technical reports, and make effective presentations to management and other team members.
· Translate developed processes into standard operating procedures (SOPs) as well as necessary calibration and preventive maintenance SOPs.
· Write validation protocols and lead the technical support staff to successfully execute IQ, OQ, and PQ.
· Lead the process transition into the new facility.
· Troubleshoot, optimize, and improve ongoing process activity with scientific curiosity.
Qualifications
· B.S. or M.S. degree in Biochemical/Chemical Engineering preferred. Will also consider other disciplines such as biology, chemistry, or related field with requisite experience.
· 4+ years of hands-on biopharmaceutical experience at pilot or commercial scale with bioreactor fermentation (USP) and DSP of plasmid DNA from bacterial cell paste, including lysis, clarification, ultrafiltration/diafiltration, and ion exchange chromatography.

**Roles and Responsibilities for the Senior Process Engineer**
+ Serve as site subject matter expert in understanding how SiC based tow interacts with mechanical systems for the transport of tow.
