We are hiring an experienced Food Safety and Quality Manager to lead the quality and food safety program at our aseptic food manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with quality, food safety, customer, and regulatory requirements, with a specific focus on aseptic processing and packaging systems.
This leadership role will oversee the implementation and continuous improvement of food safety systems (HACCP, HARPC, FSMA), quality programs (GMPs, SOPs, audits), and ensure our aseptic operations meet or exceed industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Food Safety & Compliance
Develop, implement, and maintain robust Food Safety Plans (HACCP, HARPC) with emphasis on aseptic operations.
Ensure compliance with FDA, USDA, FSMA, GFSI standards (e.g., SQF or BRC), and customer-specific requirements.
Lead regulatory and third-party audits, including aseptic validation and environmental monitoring programs.
Facilitate GFSI, customer, FDA, and internal audits related to the area of quality and food safety.
Manage the Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) responsibilities for the site.
Quality Assurance & Control
Oversee daily QA/QC operations including in-process inspections, finished product testing, and sanitation verification.
Lead root cause analysis and CAPA for any non-conformance, customer complaint, or deviation from quality standards.
Monitor aseptic fill/packaging line performance and drive initiatives for aseptic integrity and sterility assurance.
Leadership & Team Management
Supervise and develop a team of QA/QC and Sanitation supervisors, technicians, food safety specialists, and lab personnel.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and food safety excellence across the organization.
Collaborate cross-functionally with production, maintenance, R&D, and supply chain teams.
Documentation & Training
Maintain accurate records of all food safety and quality documentation including batch records, sterilization logs, and cleaning verification.
Conduct training sessions for staff on Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), hygiene, allergen control, and aseptic handling procedures.
Lead the site's internal audit program, ensuring ongoing readiness for regulatory and customer audits.
Qualifications
BS Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Biology, or related field.
Minimum 8 years of quality & food safety management experience within a manufacturing setting.
*Experience with aseptic processing required*
Knowledge, certified, and experience with relevant GFSI systems such as IFS, SQF, BRC and/or FSSC 22000.
Knowledge about allergens, microbiological topics, Kosher, HACCP, GMPs, Quality systems and Pre-requisite programs, internal audits.
Knowledge with Microsoft Office & SAP required.
Strong knowledge of FDA aseptic processing regulations, thermal process validations, and microbiological controls.
Experience managing teams and leading cross-functional quality improvement projects.
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

This position is responsible for the food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance of the production facility and for enabling the safety and quality assurance purpose and strategy through daily decision making and guidance. The manager will lead the plant FSQA team including hiring, onboarding, and team member development.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
• Ensure a fully staffed facility FSQA team with succession and development plans.

Job Purpose
The Supply Chain Management Operations Department is responsible for the oversight, standardization and technical leadership of the internal material handling operations at the Honda automobile powertrain and final assembly sites across North America. FUNCTION:
Respond to customer solicitations and provide to the manufacturing and production control departments all necessary documentation and information needed to efficiently complete the requirements of a customer contract.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Review and respond to request for quotes to improve overall quality, productivity and understanding of customer requirements.
Create routers for tools and cost-effective routing through the shop, identifying ways for expediting product where possible.
Provide technical assistance to supervision and machinists/fabricators with questions pertaining to the manufacturing process.
Identify fixturing and special tooling needs as required.
DESIRABLE KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION
High school diploma or GED required.
Advanced level of experience in an engineering role that builds a product via CNC machines or through highly advanced fabrication.
Preference is given for this experience in a defense or aerospace industry.
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE/SKILL

Essential functions
· QA Techs are responsible for ensuring adherence to food quality and food safety rules and regulations as required by the quality standards and/or Safe Quality Food requirements
· Ensure all products being run conform to the product specifications as outlined in SAP by conducting analysis on raw deliveries, syrup batches, and treated water
· Conduct chemical and physical analysis on raw and intermediate processing materials including packaging materials and determine status of materials (acceptable or not)
· Maintain accurate, legible records of all tests and retests performed
· Work closely with all departments to improve quality, increase efficiencies, increase yields, and eliminate out of specification or damaged product
· Evaluate finished products against current standards by performing audits to monitor all aspects of finished product and packaging integrity
· Check process control parameters to assure proper equipment application and operation is being maintained by performing secure seal, closure torque, and seaming checks.
· Maintain laboratory cleanliness
· Complete special projects and other reasonable duties as assigned by senior support

How will you make an impact?
This PPI-focused engineering role drives continuous improvement and engineering excellence at our Marietta manufacturing site. The successful candidate will lead initiatives that enhance production processes and sustain operational efficiency through Practical Process Improvement (PPI) and Lean methodologies. This position is crucial to achieving the site's targets for quality, delivery, and cost performance.What will you do?
Lead and implement PPI-Lean initiatives that enhance performance, reduce waste, and drive measurable gains in safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
Coach, mentor, and engage employees at all levels in using Lean and PPI tools to strengthen a culture of continuous improvement.
Evaluate the economic feasibility of capital projects and prepare justifications to support site investment and growth strategies.
Collect, process, and analyze production and process data, resulting in actionable recommendations and improvements to management.
Purchase and install manufacturing equipment, ensuring successful integration, qualification, and operator readiness, while developing and maintaining documentation throughout the manufacturing process to ensure consistency, compliance, and efficiency.
Develop machine and personnel requirements and utilization plans to support long-range business strategies.
Resolve shop floor technical issues to achieve production throughput and quality objectives.
Recommend manufacturing processes, procedures, tools, equipment, layouts, and methods for process improvement and operational optimization.
Evaluate product quality, cost, and throughput with Product Design Engineering to configure optimal production processes.
Actively participate in New Product Development (NPD) to optimize manufacturability, process flow, and productivity.
Review and approve Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) to ensure changes are robust, practical, and production-ready.
Lead and support PPI teams by facilitating Kaizen events, value stream mapping, and root cause analysis sessions, and perform other duties as assigned to support the Marietta site's continuous improvement and operational goals.

Education:
B.S. degree in a related engineering field required.
Preferred Experience:
Working knowledge of hard goods manufacturing processes, machinery, and automation, including sheet metal fabrication and welding practices.
Strong analytical skills to assess and improve procedures.
Experience applying Lean, Six Sigma, or PPI methodologies to manufacturing processes.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proven ability to lead complex problem-solving using structured methods such as root cause analysis or DMAIC.
