Collins Aerospace is expanding its Business and First-Class seating programs and is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our operations in Medley, Florida. With multiple new programs ramping up beginning in 2026, this role will be instrumental in preparing the manufacturing facility for increased production across several global airline customers. This is a project-focused position supporting manufacturing readiness, process development, and successful program execution in a growing, dynamic environment.
This is an onsite role in Medley, FL and may be eligible for relocation.
What You Will Do
Support new and ramping Business/First Class seating programs by preparing the manufacturing facility for increased production volumes
Perform make-versus-buy analyses to support program and production strategy decisions
Develop and structure Manufacturing Bills of Material (MBOMs) and routings based on engineering data and change notices
Create and maintain clear, effective work instructions to support safe, efficient, and repeatable builds
Design or support the development of jigs, fixtures, tooling, and parts presentation strategies to improve manufacturing efficiency
Apply lean manufacturing principles to optimize processes, reduce waste, and improve flow
Conduct routine engineering analyses and process studies related to new methods, materials, or standards
Prepare process specifications, production aids, factory work standards, and MRP support studies as required
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, supply chain, quality, and operations
Perform other related manufacturing engineering duties as needed to support program success
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field
Understanding of Lean manufacturing
Qualifications We Prefer
Experience supporting manufacturing projects
Hands-on experience designing jigs and/or fixtures to aid manufacturing processes

We are seeking a Molding Process Engineer to join our team in the Medical Business.
The Molding Process Engineer reports directly to the Engineering Manager and will be responsible for the support of all internal moulding activities that include product development, validation, qualification and implementation of processes, methods and equipment. The Process Engineer is responsible for leading the optimization and implementation of projects designed to increase productivity and effectiveness. Requirements
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Optimize and document manufacturing processes through the entire supply chain. These business processes include procurement to payables, production operations, inventory management, and shipping
Maintain reliable and safe manufacturing systems while improving production rates, efficiencies, yields, costs, and changeovers.
Interact with supervisors and workers to explore initiatives, ideas, and order progress.
Develop innovative solutions.
Research and purchase new manufacturing technology. Prepare samples for study.
Improve process capability and production volume while maintaining and improving quality standards.
Develop best practices to deliver process documentation using appropriate tools (web apps, apps, MS Tools, or through integration with ERP, etc.) Ensure that process documentation is user-friendly and accessible in English and Spanish.
Support shipping operations on/off-season to ensure order completion
Evaluate and improve processes in manufacturing systems.
Develop and implement systems that optimize all phases of the production process.
Work with equipment designers and manufacturing officers to develop a cost-effective and working production process.
Ensure projects are completed on time. Ensure financial budgets are followed.
Collect, record, and transcribe data.
Work with the compliance team to ensure business processes are being adhered to. Manage cost and time constraints
Perform risk assessments

Availability for flexible schedule changes based on business needs (including but not limited to seasonal demand and additional hours outside of the regular work schedule).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information or help as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in engineering with a specialization in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
Experience in process improvement and project management is a plus.
Strong understanding of manufacturing methods /procedures/ quality.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. (Excel, Visio, Power BI)
Experience in process simulation
Working knowledge of process engineering software packages
Ability to present technical information using CAD, CAD/CAM Circuit Design
Bilingual (English - Spanish) is a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex data to diverse audiences.

Tasks often involve manual labor or physical effort.
The position also requires direct contact with various plants, soil, and shipping materials and exposure to various dust, noise, and weather conditions.

Qualifications
Qualifications include:
BS in Biomedical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or other applicable engineering discipline. Advanced degree (Master's) a plus.
1-3 years of experience in Tissue Banking, Device, Biologics, or Pharmaceutical industry in a relevant engineering role preferred.
Strong analytical, planning, project management, critical thinking, troubleshooting, clear communication, and problem-solving skills.

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Propulsion Manufacturing Engineer to support the design, assembly, integration, and testing of electric propulsion thrusters for Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with propulsion system hardware, electrical and plasma thrusters, and production line processes to ensure reliable, repeatable, and high-quality manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain manufacturing processes for electric propulsion thrusters and subsystems, including assembly, bonding, welding, and integration.
Support production line setup, tooling design, and workflow optimization to improve yield, cycle time, and throughput.
Collaborate with design engineers to ensure manufacturability of propulsion system components and assemblies.
Define and implement quality control procedures including ESD protection, contamination control, vacuum compatibility, and leak testing.
Support the assembly, integration, and verification (AIV) of propulsion modules, including electrical connections, harness routing, and fluid/electrical interfaces.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to plasma thrusters, ion engines, Hall-effect thrusters, and PPU integration.
Conduct DFM/DFX reviews to enhance reliability and manufacturability.
Develop detailed work instructions, assembly documentation, and test procedures for technicians and operators.
Participate in qualification and acceptance testing, including vibration, thermal vacuum (TVAC), and functional testing of thruster subsystems.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives for cost reduction, process automation, and scalability for satellite constellations.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

Familiarity with vacuum chamber operations, leak detection methods, and contamination control.
Experience with satellite manufacturing standards (ECSS, NASA, IPC, or equivalent).
