The quality inspector shall support on-site to perform documentation, visual and dimensional inspections on manufactured parts, assemblies, and / or sub-assemblies. Validate all product and paperwork compliant to including but not limited to: engineering drawings, customer purchase order(s), industry standards, and specifications. Product Quality Inspection Technician (2nd Shift) The In-Process Quality Inspection Technician for our Magnetic Resonance Imaging business is responsible for performing a variety of quality inspection and documentation tasks during the manufacturing process to help reduce defects and increase product quality consistency. Operate air, power, and hand tools such as air chisels, prybars, bandsaw, sawzall and angle grinders to destructively test or cut out samples of various types of joining technologies Effectively use hand measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures Complete visual inspections and or destructive testing of components, welds and other joining technologies Use joining inspection sheets to identify weld ID's and other specific critical joints Accurately document and report data in Excel and report results using Jira Standing and working in awkward positions such as but not limited to kneeling, bending, laying and crouched work may be required for extended periods of time to complete inspections and cutting operations Team lifting and moving of large sub-assemblies well over 100 lbs to move them into cutting positions Ability to push pull loads on wheeled dolly over 100 lbs Ability to lift 50 lbs individually Support manufacturing team equipment and process capability analysis Execute product and process validation / inspection plans Assist in performing and teaching all processes and assignments within the department, with the ability to fill in as needed Identify and contain suspect defective material Perform metal cutting and polishing to create measurable lab samples of welded joints Responsible to participate in quality related continuous improvement (Kaizen) projects Develop, maintain, and improve the quality culture within responsible area May perform other duties as assigned

We are looking for dependable, fast paced, hard-working individuals with experience as a Quality Inspector 1 with the following qualifications and experience: Job Summary: The Aerospace Quality Inspector I plays a pivotal role in ensuring the precision, reliability, and compliance of aerospace components and systems through meticulous inspection and measurement. The ideal candidate possesses a keen eye for detail, a solid understanding of aerospace quality standards, and proficiency in utilizing a variety of precision measuring tools. Responsibilities: Utilize a range of precision measuring tools to assess dimensions, tolerances, and alignments of parts, ensuring they meet engineering drawings and requirements. Perform inspections at various stages of the manufacturing process, from raw materials to final assembly, to identify defects or deviations. Record and document inspection results, maintaining accurate and organized records of measurements, observations, and findings. Collaborate with manager and production teams to address quality-related concerns and provide input for continuous improvement initiatives. Conduct visual inspections to identify surface defects, anomalies, and irregularities, ensuring components meet cosmetic and visual standards. Use coordinate measuring machines (CMM) and other advanced metrology equipment to inspect complex geometric features and three-dimensional components. Ensure proper torque application using torque wrenches during assembly, preventing under-tightening and over-tightening. Analyze and interpret measurement data to make informed decisions regarding component acceptance or rejection. Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols and best practices in aerospace manufacturing. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in quality assurance or aerospace technology is preferred. Proven experience as an aerospace quality inspector or in a similar role within the aerospace or manufacturing industry. Proficiency in using a variety of precision measuring tools, including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, thread gauges, CMM, and more. Familiarity with aerospace quality standards such as AS9100 and ISO 9001. Strong understanding of engineering drawings, specifications, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T). Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to make accurate judgments based on measurement data. Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments to resolve quality issues. Knowledge of safety protocols and practices within aerospace manufacturing environments. Computer proficiency, including experience with digital readout (DRO) systems and basic data entry. Certification or training in quality inspection methods and tools is a plus.
