Job description:

• Practice analytical problem solving incorporating use of strong math skills
• Demonstrate initiative to learn and seek improvement opportunities with minimal direction
Qualifications
• Must have a Technical or Business Associates degree or equivalent work experience.

Position Responsibilities

Identify and communicate existing and potential quality issues

The Quality Technician is responsible for performing quality control inspections, measurements, and verifications in both a machine shop environment and in the field, including shipboard paint, coating, and repair operations. The technician will be expected to travel 50-75% of the time, including domestic and international assignments, and must be able to work effectively aboard naval and commercial vessels under varying conditions.

Position overview

Key Responsibilities
* Use a variety of measuring devices, testing equipment, and statistical control processes.

* Request support from an engineer to evaluate and act on inspection and test beyond capabilities.
* Effectively communicate with internal and external customers.

Skills and Experience
