Dassault Falcon Jet -Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facility in Reno, Nevada is seeking a full-time Quality Control Inspector who will be primarily responsible for performing inspections of aircraft maintenance and alterations for quality and airworthiness. Also, providing the approval for return to service with respect to the work performed for work that the Service Center (FAA Certificated Repair Station) is rated. The Quality Control Inspector may also perform aircraft maintenance (including inspection), preventive maintenance and alteration and assist customers with technical and operational support relative to the customer's aircraft.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
* Responsible to Quality Assurance for quality and airworthiness and may report to Crew Chief for the assignment of aircraft maintenance tasks.
* Using technical data acceptable to and/or approved by the FAA, the Quality Control Inspector provides inspection and approval for return to service with respect to work performed.
* May travel to locations other than the Repair Station's fixed location to support customer aircraft.
* May perform inspections, makes adjustments and repairs, replaces components and corrects any malfunction or deficiency with and without power applied to the aircraft.
* May perform repairs on components removed from the aircraft.
* May remove and re-install aircraft components to gain access for the performance of assigned tasks.
* May troubleshoot (fault isolation) aircraft system malfunction.

* Documents, records and signs for work performed and/or inspected per RSM/QCM.

The compensation for this position typically falls between $38 - $50 per hour. This position is eligible for tech leveling to reflect varying levels of experience. Under the direction of the Director of Quality, this candidate will serve as the primary production inspector with occasional supplier quality engineering support being required. The successful candidate will perform receiving, production floor and supplier component inspections using tools ranging from manual floor inspection tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, visual, go/no-go gauges, etc.) to computer aided inspection (CAI) methods (e.g., laser scanning, etc.). These inspections may include source inspections at supplier facilities.
This candidate will utilize Quality Engineering methods to work with internal manufacturing engineers and suppliers to create and flow down inspection requirements, verify compliance with those requirements, drive corrective actions and ensure continuous improvement with the overall goal of ensuring internal manufacturing and supplier compliance with contractual and technical requirements. They will do this by:
• identifying and incorporating appropriate inspection methods and tools into both internal and supplier work instructions and inspection processes required to ensure accurate results • using those methods and tools to inspect and verify compliance with defined pass-fail criteria to include use of manual and CAI equipment
• programming inspection equipment (e.g., coordinate measuring machine (CMM), etc.) • collaborating with suppliers and design engineering to develop product designs that mitigate potential defect sources
• collaborating with supplier and manufacturing engineering to mitigate potential process defects • leading root cause, corrective and preventive action investigations/ decisions/ validations, actions, integration tasks
Responsibilities:
Performance of the Supplier Quality Inspector role is inclusive of tasks identified below, with minimal supervision.
• Overall Inspection to include:
Program, setup and operate CAI, CMM, Keyence and other inspection equipment
Use design data to perform first article, in-process & final inspections of supplier “Buy” & internal “Make” items
Provide feedback to engineers and suppliers using resultant inspection data

Education

Job Description
American Battery Technology Company (ABTC) is an industry-leading battery metals and critical material technology development and commercialization company. Our Pilot Plant just outside of Reno, Nevada will be the first integrated implementation of our multi-step processing train for the full mechanical processing, physical separation, chemical extraction, and production of commercial-scale battery metals that will be resold back into the battery manufacturing supply chain to enact a low-cost, low environmental impact, and domestically sourced closed-loop circular economy.
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Technician to join our Li-ion battery recycling operation. This critical role reports directly to the Head of Quality and plays a vital part in ensuring the safety, quality, and efficiency of our battery disassembly, processing, and finished product quality. This position is for our D-shift staff, working nights, Thursday through Saturday, and every other Wednesday.
Requirements
Experience: Proven professional experience (2+ years) in a quality control, technician, or related technical role, preferably within a manufacturing, recycling, or complex technical environment.
Battery Expertise: Direct hands-on experience with Li-ion battery technology, including familiarity with common battery pack and module architectures.
Mechanical Fluency: Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and proficiency in using a variety of hand tools for precise disassembly, inspection, and maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities
In-Process Quality Control & Sampling:

Document and report all test results, non-conformances, and material inconsistencies accurately.
Disassembly Inspection & Assurance:
Conduct in-depth mechanical disassembly and inspection of battery packs and modules, requiring proficient use of various hand and power tools (e.g., wrenches, sockets, multimeters).
Perform visual, dimensional, and functional quality inspections on incoming Li-ion battery packs and modules to ensure non-conforming material does not enter our recycling process.
Work closely with production personnel during the disassembly process to verify adherence to quality and safety standards.
Procedure Development & Documentation:
Collaborate with production and engineering teams to develop and write clear, concise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for safe Li-ion battery disassembly and initial processing steps.

Under the direction of the Quality Engineer the Quality Technician is responsible to assist the Quality Engineer with communication and resolution of Customer Concerns, Internal Audits/Control Plan Audits, launch activities, PPAP studies and related activities, and gauge maintenance. It is also the duty of the Quality Technician to drive containment actions to ensure that the quality and integrity of the product shipping to our customers is maintained.
Responsibilities/Duties:
Assist the Quality Engineers with communication of Quality Concerns to all shifts of the production team. This includes but is not limited to ensuring that quality alerts are posted, training has been completed and operators and all production team members have a firm understanding of the intent and expectation of the alert
The Quality Technician should aid Quality Inspectors in making a decision to accept/reject product. In the absence of the Quality Engineer, the Quality Technician has the authority to determine the acceptability of a part based on the documented requirements for the program, visual aids and knowledge of part history. When a decision is made, a sample part should be saved and provided to the Quality Engineer to make a new boundary sample. If a decision cannot be made, it is the responsibility of the Quality Technician to elevate the issue to the Quality Manager. The Quality Manager will consult with the Production Manager and Engineering Manager to make a final determination and give feedback to the team.
Assist production personnel with the coordination of all sort activities including the gathering of data and communication back to the Quality Manager and all appropriate members of management
Maintain organization of all non-production samples and nonconforming material
It is the responsibility of the Quality Technician to communicate any and all quality, reliability or system concerns up the chain of command to drive resolution. This includes reporting all findings from sorts, first off/periodic inspections, quality audits, general observation, etc.
