Position Summary
We're seeking a QA/QC Technician to support project quality and performance through on-site inspections, documentation, and team coordination. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the company's high standards of consistency, accuracy, and safety.

What You'll Do
Conduct field inspections of underground systems, temporary power, switchgear, and equipment installations
Review project scopes and QA/QC expectations during kickoff meetings
Collaborate with field teams, general contractors, and project managers to ensure compliance with company and client standards
Use the QuickBase QA/QC App to record inspections, document issues, and manage nonconformance reports
Verify torque and megger testing results and closeout documentation accuracy
Promote best practices and consistency across projects
Support administrative and documentation tasks as needed
Travel to job sites, including occasional out-of-town projects
What We're Looking For
5+ years of experience in electrical construction (Foreman or Superintendent experience preferred)
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, QA/QC standards, and installation practices
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and the QuickBase QA/QC App

Working under the immediate supervision of a registered professional engineer, you work as a team member alongside site managers, general contractors, and engineers to perform the required inspection or sampling services at various environmentally regulated solid waste landfill construction projects. You monitor general contractor activities, onsite testing, and reporting of earthwork and soil construction as well as geosynthetic baseliner, closure cap, piping, and gas extraction systems. In addition, you actively collect concrete, soil, and other site materials for testing in order to ensure construction standards and specifications are being met.

Position Responsibilities
Study and interpret product specifications to ensure product conformity
Establish inspection plans and part acceptance criteria based on drawing requirements and customer feedback.
Examine manufactured products, primarily aerospace machined parts, to ensure they parts meet all standards of presentation and quality
Identify and communicate existing and potential quality issues
Perform dimensional inspection on machined parts using a variety of precision metrology instruments such as height gages, micrometers, bore gages, etc.
Collect and record data regarding defects
Document and process nonconforming product
Demonstrate flexibility within a fast-paced challenging environment
Ability to coordinate, prioritize, and multitask
Identify non-conforming materials and products, document discrepancies, and participate in root cause analysis and corrective action processes.

Job Description
Machine Specialties, LLC is a leading contract machining and metal finishing company that designs an manufactures sophisticated, cost-effective solutions to meet our clients' most demanding challenges. Our company is located in Whitsett, NC, about 8 miles outside of Greensboro, NC.
We are currently looking for a Quality Inspector to join our team. The Quality Inspector is responsible for completing final inspections prior to shipment, as well as in process inspections to support shop manufacturing. This role involves conducting inspections, testing, and documenting findings to maintain compliance with regulatory and company requirements.
This is an hourly position that will report directly to the Quality Inspection Manager.
Position Responsibilities
Study and interpret product specifications to ensure product conformity
Establish inspection plans and part acceptance criteria based on drawing requirements and customer feedback.
Examine manufactured products, primarily aerospace machined parts, to ensure they parts meet all standards of presentation and quality
Identify and communicate existing and potential quality issues
Perform dimensional inspection on machined parts using a variety of precision metrology instruments such as height gages, micrometers, bore gages, etc.
Collect and record data regarding defects
Document and process nonconforming product
Demonstrate flexibility within a fast-paced challenging environment
Ability to coordinate, prioritize, and multitask
Identify non-conforming materials and products, document discrepancies, and participate in root cause analysis and corrective action processes.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the inspection and quality control processes.
Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.

Required Training/Education/Experience
High school diploma or GED equivalent required
Minimum 3 years inspection experience
Machining experience preferred.
Aerospace manufacturing experience is preferred.
Must be able to pass a vision test, eyeglasses or contacts are acceptable.

Discover your exciting role The primary responsibilities of this position include conducting : visual inspections, checking coating thicknesses, spark testing of all coated surfaces; repairs. All listed duties are to be conducted in accordance to Fab Tech's set standards & meet all FM criteria.

* Conduct thorough visual inspections to ensure aesthetics of all parts meet Fab Tech's high quality criteria standards
* Inspector will responsible for ensuring that coating thickness of parts meet mil thickness specification
* Coating inspector will spark test all coated surfaces to ensure all coated surfaces within set parameters are free of defects
* Coating inspectors will also be responsible for making judgement calls determining whether product needs to be reworked/repaired
* Individual will be responsible for performing manual repairs on all defected parts

* Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
* Ability to stand on feet for up to 10 hrs. daily
* Must be able to work in a fast paced work environment
* Position requires the ability to make independent decisions based on standards

* Gloves need to be worn during all visual; spark testing procedures
* Note: Must pass PFT; RFT in order to wear 7700 series respirator

The noise level in the production area is usually moderately loud. The Blast department is a sectioned off area of the production floor. Various blasting, grinding, inspecting and welding tasks are performed within the Blast department.

* PPE covering eyes and skin is required when welding or heat induced cutting
* PPE specific to tasks being performed is required
