Position Overview
The Senior Quality Inspector is responsible for performing advanced quality inspections, ensuring compliance with aerospace standards, customer specifications, and internal processes within the propulsion system and thruster production line. This role plays a critical part in guaranteeing product reliability, safety, and performance for space applications, while mentoring junior inspectors and supporting continuous improvement in quality control.
Key Responsibilities
Inspection & Verification
Perform detailed inspections on propulsion system components, thrusters, subassemblies, and final assemblies using precision measurement tools and test equipment.
Verify conformance to engineering drawings, specifications, work instructions, and acceptance criteria.
Conduct in-process, first-article, and final inspections, including mechanical, electrical, and dimensional checks.
Documentation & Compliance
Review and validate inspection documentation, test data, and quality records for accuracy and completeness.
Ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO, and customer-specific quality requirements.
Maintain detailed records in Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Quality Management Systems (QMS).
Problem-Solving & Nonconformance
Identify, document, and escalate nonconformances and deviations; assist in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues efficiently.
Leadership & Mentorship
Train and mentor junior inspectors and technicians on quality standards, inspection techniques, and industry best practices.
Act as a subject matter expert in propulsion and thruster product quality.
Continuous Improvement
Recommend process and inspection improvements to enhance quality, reliability, and efficiency.
Support audits, process reviews, and qualification campaigns for propulsion components.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Manufacturing Engineering (preferred) or equivalent experience.
7+ years of experience in aerospace or space hardware quality inspection, with at least 3 years in propulsion or thruster systems.
Strong knowledge of aerospace quality standards (AS9100, ISO 9001, ECSS, NASA, or equivalent).
Technical Skills
Proficient in using precision measurement instruments (micrometers, calipers, CMM, borescopes, electrical test equipment).
Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings, GD&T, specifications, and schematics.
Familiarity with propulsion system components: valves, tanks, igniters, thruster assemblies, and propellant feed systems.
Strong understanding of cleanroom protocols and contamination control requirements.
Soft Skills
High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and problem-solving ability.
Effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.

JOB OVERVIEW

Oversee the proper tagging and identification of all parts and components as outlined in this manual.
See that rejected and unserviceable parts are handled in such a way as to prevent their use as serviceable parts.
Maintain files of completed work order and inspection forms in such a manner that the file pertaining to a specific item repaired can be readily located for review.
See that all Life-Limited products, such as adhesive, sealants and lubricants are not kept beyond their “Do not use after” date.

**What You Will Do**
+ Generate Authorized Release Certificates (ARC) for multiple regulatory civil aviation authorities or Certificates of Conformance for military customers
+ Issue scrap certificates
+ Conduct final inspections on electric power, accessories and actuation components as well as subassemblies
+ Ensure no defects in assembly, nor shop paperwork
+ Examine for specified characteristics as stated in the documented information
+ Perform unit shakedown to check for foreign objects and loose internal hardware
+ Mark defects and removing rejects, setting them aside for repair
+ Read and interpret technical data such as service bulletins, component maintenance manuals, or engineering prints
+ Ensure appropriate record keeping
+ Review work order documentation for accuracy and completeness, ensuring adherence to specifications and conformance to company standards and customers' requirements
+ Interact with team members and support staff as well as external customers when applicable (source inspection, external approvals, etc.)
+ You will be exposed to products of various weights and sizes, equipment with moving parts, and chemicals that may emit fumes
+ **1st Shift: 7:30 am or 8am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday.**
**Qualifications You Must Have**
+ Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) or vocational/ technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
+ A minimum of 2 years of experience in an MRO/Aftermarket environment working in inspection, specifically working or writing FAA Form 8130, or as a Mechanical Repair Technician or Avionics Repair Technician.
**Qualifications We Prefer**
+ 3-4 years of experience working with aircraft components or have completed a formal training course acceptable to the FAA
+ A&P License or ability to obtain a repairman certificate under FAA 14 CFR Part 65
+ 1-2 years of experience in NDT

Job Purpose
The QC Labeling Inspector is responsible for maintaining a high level of inventory accuracy and integrity within the Tissue Bank. Combines components for final products.
Applies labels to final product and adds package inserts, boxes, etc.
Maintains accurate inventory of post-processing, quarantine products (frozen and room temperature).
Performs disposition of nonconforming products as directed.
Coordinates and stages products for sterilization.
Monitors freezers and responds to alarms.
Supports nonconformance investigations, when applicable.
Maintains knowledge of applicable regulations and standards related to storage, handling, labeling and inspections of tissue.
Maintains effective communication with management when issues arise to obtain appropriate instructions to address the issues.

JOB OVERVIEW

Responsibilities:
* Oversee and coordinate inspections of the maintenance, preventive maintenance, or alteration of a powerplant, aircraft or appliance, or a part thereof, received at this repair station.
* Oversee and coordinate inspections and required inspections in accordance with the methods, standards, and limits required by the accepted or approved data to determine that the work was satisfactorily completed.
* Audit all inspection paperwork for completeness, task compliance, and deliver finalized documents to Records Dept.
* Assist and train new and current inspectors in performing inspection tasks as specified on Company job cards, repair, and routing travelers, recording discrepancies as required.
* Oversee the work performed by Inspectors who are unfamiliar with the methods, techniques, practices, and equipment used to perform maintenance, preventive maintenance, or alterations.
* Lead Root Cause Analysis for nonconformances and audit corrective actions, including installed parts/material tags, tools and equipment used, proper signoff and references.
* Ensure work performed by outside sources and incorporated in articles undergoing maintenance, preventive maintenance, or alteration was properly performed and documented.
* Oversee and coordinate receiving inspection on incoming parts, materials, and tooling to ensure Company standards and requirements are met and generate the applicable identification tags.
* In the absence of the Director of Inspection lead the Detail Inspection activities.
* Communicate efficiently with all employee levels.
Qualifications:
* Airframe and Powerplant license
* High School or equivalent and basic computer skills
* Must possess exceptional attention to detail and proficiency in the inspection methods, techniques, aids, tools, and equipment used in aircraft jet engine maintenance.

* Familiar with all regulatory requirements that govern the maintenance of aircraft jet engine.
