The Quality Inspector ensures that all finished products pass all electrical and final inspections and conform to all the requirements. Duties/Responsibilities: Perform final inspection and complete all data entry with final inspection. Assist in-process inspections for all parts manufactured in FAB, Powder Coat, and Assembly, including Prototype inspection and FAIR reporting as assigned by the Quality Manager. Perform in-process inspections according to work instructions and the Quality Manager's instructions. Verify shop order packets, including prints and Bill of Materials, as required during inspections. Perform data entry of daily inspections as required. Maintain accurate and legible records and file in an organized manner. Assist production in non-conforming product analysis and resolution. Participate in Internal Audits at the assigned facility as required. Perform other duties as assigned. The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for ensuring parts received externally and produced internally are of excellent quality, meeting all form, fit, and function specifications. Full-time Description This position is responsible for verifying that parts made at FIA meet TIS requirements and all processes involved in the production and delivery of parts are followed via audits. Perform dimensional and attribute checks using check fixtures, caliper, taper gauge, feeler gauge and surface indicators to ensure product and components meet specified standards. Visually inspect finished product and components to ensure they meet specified standards. Perform chisel, thread, torque, hammer, weld and shim count checks on Change Point Pieces. Perform audits as specified by QC Management Team. Elevate nonconformities or other abnormal conditions to the QC Team Leader and/or Supervisor and also notifying Production Team. Assist QC leadership with containment and sorting of defective vendor components and finished product. Support Quality improvement and cost saving initiatives such as scrap reduction and reworking of parts when appropriate. The Aircraft Quality Control Inspector is responsible for ensuring that assigned aircraft are maintained within required specifications of 14 CFR Parts 43, 91 and 125 and other FAA and DOD regulations, OEM instructions and CBP directives as required and are airworthy before operation. Principal Accountabilities: Inspect the work of Aircraft Mechanics performing maintenance repairs and modifies aircraft structures, aircraft engines, electrical, avionics and aircraft sub-systems. Apply technical knowledge and expertise in determining proper equipment installation and operation. Apply comprehensive technical expertise to assist the maintenance department to solve complex problems by interpreting technical documentation such as blueprints or manufactures' manuals.
