Job Requirements: The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, with 2 years of work-related experience, including 1 year in aerospace and familiarity with AS9102 (FAI). Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or other manufacturing software is required. Experience with Quality Management System policies and procedures is preferred, and ASQ certifications or Six Sigma Green Belt certification would be a plus.

Responsible for:

Able to identify and provide disposition of nonconforming material per procedure.
Provide traceability of product, material and calibration of products.
Obtain the following required certifications:
IPC J-STD-001 Solder as required
IPC/WHMA-A-620 Acceptability requirement
ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) certification
Accurately record results of inspection and testing results.
Perform additional Quality department duties as assigned or as needed.
Report directly to the Quality Engineer or Quality Manager.

We are looking for an individual who will be responsible for the inspection of all outgoing textile products. This ideal candidate will possess a trained eye for detail and will provide support to the assigned production team to ensure that the products are built in accordance with customer and quality requirements while maintaining production flow. Will work with both production and engineering personnel to resolve any quality issues.
Duties and responsibilities:
Examines material goods & products on the production line & either approves or rejects items based on engineering requirements.
Perform First Article Inspecting (FAI), approving In-Process Inspection and Final Inspection.
Conduct visual and measurement tests.
Advise & communicate required adjustments or corrections action to take to the Production Leads/ Supervisors & Directors.
Documenting inspections results by completing reports and logs per company procedures.
All other activities and duties will be assigned by supervisor.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Qualifications:
Minimum 1+ year continuous Quality Inspector position & experience in a manufacturing environment.
MUST be able to analyze, read and interpret blueprints, tape measure, calipers, and other testing/measuring tools. (TESTING will be administered)
Knowledge of GD&T.
Ability to recognize & report issues to appropriate depts., leads/supervisors.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Accuracy and attention to detail is imperative
Ability to use computer for research and review documents (Microsoft Office).
Work independently and with a group, remaining focused, energetic, hardworking and dependable.
Must be able to work standing 10 hrs. a day, bend, lift, and carry up to 25 lbs.
Ability to work in a fast pace non-aerospace environment and perform multiple tasks at once to meet deadlines.

Job Description
• Perform inspections of chemical cleaning, plating, paint and other coatings, and part markings of parts to ensure compliance with engineering specifications
• Adhere to General Work Requirements
• Perform in-process and/or final inspections of manufactured parts and basic subassemblies and assemblies to verify compliance with engineering specifications and production work instructions
• Monitor all tools used for inspection to ensure current certification status
• Document discrepancies and coordinate resolution with assigned area of Production, Methods, Engineering, and/or Material Review Board (MRB) as appropriate
• Ensure all inspection documentation and production work instructions are complete and comply with quality system and engineering specifications
• Ensure required certifications are current
• Assist other inspectors in the performance of their duties within area(s) of qualification
• Adhere to General Work Requirements
• Perform in-process and/or final inspections of manufactured parts and basic subassemblies and assemblies to verify compliance with engineering specifications and production work instructions
• Perform in-process and final inspections of parts, castings, and forgings using and interpreting precision measurement instruments to close tolerance dimensions ensuring compliance with engineering specifications, production work instructions, and quality system
• Conduct First Article Inspections per AS9102 and populate Net-Inspect accordingly
• Assist with the creation of Bubble Drawings for First Article Inspections as required
• Assist with creating Customer Nonconformance requests per contracted procedures
• Ability to obtain working knowledge in the operation of a coordinate measuring machine or articulating arm under the guidance of the CMM Programmer and obtain certification
Qualifications
Typically 2 years experience inspecting manufactured aircraft parts
• Typically 2 years experience inspecting manufactured aircraft parts
• Working knowledge of special tooling and machinery used in detail part manufacturing
• Working knowledge of aircraft part fabrication process
• Ability to calculate tolerances using geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
• Ability to read and interpret engineering documents
• Ability to use and interpret a variety of precision measurement instruments and special tooling
• Interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively with a variety of individuals and departments
• Ability to read and write in English
• AS9102 Experience is preferred
• Working experience with an MRB System
• Working Knowledge of Model Based Definition (MBD) Engineering

Quality inspector job in Wichita, KS
Responsible for a wide range of inspection functions supporting assembly, machining operations. Follow programs, documents, drawings, specifications, MRB, CMM and quality standards to perform inspection functions.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform first article inspections on machined parts using micrometers, calipers and other measurement devices while working in compliance with AS9100 standards.
Conduct inspection of finished machined parts; include in-process from first piece to final inspection.
Working knowledge of conventional inspections tools and gauges such as: Micrometers, Calipers, thread gauges
Communicates with internal customers
Follow inspection (shop) procedures to accept or reject parts and assemblies, etc.
Assembly Inspection
Participates in Audits for AS9100 and Customers
Perform analytical investigations and develop root cause for non-conformance NCMRs and RMAs
Set up, program and operate CMM, as well as other measurement/inspection tools (Verisurf is a plus)
Miscellaneous tasks as assigned
Qualifications
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 5 years experience in an aerospace/aircraft
Minimum 3 years Quality Inspection aerospace/aircraft
GD&T Tolerance
Inspection of Machine parts
REQUIREMENTS:
Proficient in the use of precision measurement tools/equipment including but not limited to caliper, micrometer, height gage, hardness and conductivity.
Familiar with surface finish, edge preparation and general appearance of machined parts.
Familiar with outside processing certifications
Proficient with Engineering drawings/models
Computer literate
Understanding of GD&T Tolerance
Basic knowledge of CATIA
Basic understanding of a CMM
Basic understanding of CNC machining
Understanding AS9100/QMS
Perform Audits and report findings
Perform RCCA to solve issues using Lean Manufacturing
Understanding and performing FAIR,s (Net-inspect is a plus)
MRB
