This role is designed for Second Shift. The Quality Technician II supports the Quality Engineering group through processing First Article Inspection (FAI) and Part Approval Process, selective inspection, analysis and processing of internal Nonconformance Reporting (NC) material and other administrative and logistical support duties. Represents the Quality Department in witnessing and documenting UAV flight acceptance test activity. Position Responsibilities Processes inbound or outbound FAI and deliverable submissions accurately and timely including: receipt and analysis of parts and/or supporting documentation; completion of associated records and logs; communication of submission status as needed to QEs, managers, engineers or interested parties; processing of parts after completion; maintaining records and files associated with submissions; and other related tasks. Conducts selective inspection under the direction of the QE group including: receipt and verification of material, completion and maintenance of related documentation, communication of inspection results to concerned parties and processing of material after verification using Agile/Oracle database. Processes internal non-conforming material as needed in support of QE including: retrieval and analysis of material, interpretation of preliminary findings and restatement of problem statements to ensure understanding of problem, processing material through the necessary NC processes, communication of status to concerned parties, maintaining necessary documentation and processing material to internal and external suppliers. Provides general support of QEs including communication, Corrective Action Request processing, product evaluation, and sorting activities under exceptional circumstances, and interfacing with other team members as necessary to complete assigned tasks in support of continuous improvement initiatives using A3, Six Sigma DMAIC forms. Support DCMA Source Inspection process Coordinates with Shipping and Contracts department as needed to ensure timely delivery. Responsible for creating the Final Inspection documentation package including COC, TDR's, etc., and as necessary support internal/external customer inspection. Represents and supports QEs during internal and 3rd party audits regarding the essential functions above and as needed regarding our measurements system and documented system. Main purpose of the Owned Brands QC Inspector role: This is a full time role for a candidate who can identify the most effective defect recovery process for each item to minimize monetary loss of defective merchandise. He or she will be heavily involved in the QC process through the speccing of garments, evaluation of garments, and providing insight on different garment issues. This is a permanent full time role for a candidate who is able to work in a fast paced, high volume, sku intensive environment while maintaining accuracy. Major Responsibilities: Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. • Accurately spec garments • Document defects into current systems • Comprehend and analyze reports to identify areas of opportunities • Effectively communicate issues to all involved parties • Communicate and interact with all cross functional departments, for pulling, mending, Returns, and any other follow ups as needed • Update QC Tracker, and other relating reports on daily basis • Minimize monetary loss of defective merchandise through defective recovery process • Identify the most effective defect recovery process for each item - RA, Restore, Sellable Defect, Other • Identify defects by inspecting defective apparel • Clearly communicate with Technical Design Team regarding defective and unacceptable merchandise • Travel as needed to the Cerritos location • Complete ad-hoc tasks and assignments as directed by management Required Competencies: To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies: • Ability to spec garments • High level of attention to detail and the ability to identify apparel construction flaws • Hands-on approach at recommending “how-to-fix” solutions quickly and efficiently • High level of apparel construction and fabrication knowledge • Strong communication, prioritizing and organizational skills • Ability to take ownership of assigned tasks and meet responsibilities without supervision • Ability to work successfully with any personality type and be a team player • Sense of urgency and ability to maintain performance quality under pressure • Flexible and adaptable to a very fast-paced environment • Must be able and willing to lift and carry up to 10 lbs., perform frequent repetitive finger, hand and wrist motions, as well as, bending, stooping, reaching, squatting, kneeling, pushing, and pulling • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time Minimum Qualifications: • Minimum 5-7 years' experience working in a QA/QC, Production or Warehouse environment required • Computer literate in Excel, Word and Email required • Technical fashion, garment construction and fabrication knowledge preferred Preferred Qualifications: • Bilingual highly preferred; proficient in English A reasonable estimate of the current base hourly/salary range is $18/hr to $19/hr. Job Summary: The Quality Control Inspector I is responsible for the inspection of x-ray imagining systems and components based on established inspection criteria. Inspections consist of verifying software and hardware functionality. Inspections also include verifying and approving the visual aspects of each unit, paperwork, electrical and imaging inspections. All inspection activities will be recorded on appropriate forms. Essential Duties: • Perform in-line quality inspections to insure product is produced in accordance to documented procedures, work/assembly instructions, and/or drawings. • Perform Final QC inspections as per documented procedures. Properly fill out form F-82-03-06 Final Quality Control Report • Review final QC inspection paperwork and imaging with Quality Control Supervisor or Quality Control Inspector III before release to shipping. • Verify that all paperwork from previous operations are properly filled out before release of product. • Prepares reports of findings and report inspection and test data to the Quality Control Supervisor • Follow daily work assignments as delegated by the Quality Control Supervisor. • Upon successful completion of final inspections, release product to the shipping department. • Perform QC paperwork maintenance assignments such as sorting, filing and copying as determined by the Quality Supervisor. • Assists with QC line inspections, i.e.: Label Placement, QC report, Packaging • Identify the procedure required to conduct quality test and inspections. • Follow inspection procedures as outlined in SOP-82-03 Quality Control Inspections. Line Inspection • Perform line inspection by performing audits of paperwork, labels, and visual inspection of frame & panels. • Perform line inspections as per documented procedures • Operates independently from the production function, to assess and determine quality status of goods at each stage. • Follow up and maintain all documentation regarding incoming inspection Education and Experience: • Strong attention to details, highly organized • Computer literate to include experience in navigating and manipulating file systems • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment • Effectively deal with personnel from other departments • Ability to read and write in English • High school diploma or equivalent • 0-2 years similar work experience required • Very good understanding of measuring techniques and tolerance call-outs • Proficient in the use of measuring equipment such as rulers and micrometers. • Experienced in visual inspections to determine material defects and paint imperfections Excellent benefit package including 401K plan with Employer Match 11 Paid Holidays, 10 PTO Days, Free Donuts on Fridays, Company Luncheons and year end Party!
