Raycap, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Quality Inspector. In this role, the Quality Inspector inspects components, sub-assemblies, and finished products received and/or built internally. This position works with Quality Management to implement the proper sampling plans based on component specifications, inspection plans, or customer supplied requirements and to provide guidance on required quality tools, methods, and data to assure that shipped product fulfills all customer specifications and quality requirements. This position monitors and maintains Raycap quality processes to assure continual 100% customer satisfaction. Shift: Monday - Friday (6:00 am - 2:30 pm) with overtime as required. The skilled Quality inspector must be able to read customer drawings, interpret drawing requirements, use inspection tooling, physically inspect parts, and document inspection results. Exchange vital information with machine operators and engineering team about the quality of parts being manufactured. Understand and assign the frequency of data collection. This position is responsible for the daily oversight of construction materials testing and inspection activities on active construction sites to ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and quality requirements. Insight Global is hiring a Quality Control Inspector with CMM experience in Zeiss and Calypso to join an original equipment manufacturer on their 2nd shift (3:00pm-11:00pm) in the Summerville, SC area. In this role you will be programming in Calypso daily, working with Zeiss Metrology machines to ensure adherence to established standards of strength, quality, cleanliness, and endurance. Inspection responsibilities include dimensional measurement, nondestructive testing, cleanliness, hardness, and positive material identification. Additional responsibilities include: - Perform independent inspection via dimensional measurements - Perform independent inspections to validate materials, parts, and products meet established - standards of strength, quality, cleanliness and endurance. - Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards - Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task - Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency - Prepare official inspection reports for submittal to the government - Conduct material receipt and shipping inspections - Assist in developing inspection requirements based on component design drawings The compensation range for this position varies depending on experience from $66,000 to $84,000 depending on experience and qualifications. Analyzes both internal and external quality issues ranging from prototype builds to warranty analysis. Assists in the identification of root causes related to assembly methods and participates in cross-functional team efforts to solve these problems. Works under the direction from supervision and the quality engineering staff. Essential Functions: Prepare quality work instructions and inspection plans as required Train operators on work instruction for inspections and gages Lead analyst for all customer warranties and maintains records for the analysis performed Performs measurement functions to assist engineering in problem solving projects, prototype production, sample production and machine qualifications. Analyze quality costs and other quality data Perform machine and process capability studies. Coordinate product audits to verify specifications and tolerances. Assist with the development and maintenance of product measurement devices Assist with Gage Repeatability & Reproducibility with metrology personnel, Assist with maintaining gage software programs, gage masters and challenge parts Assist with incoming inspection of components. Maintain safety standards for all in the area. Awareness and understanding of ISO 14001, ISO 45001, IATF16949 and VDA 6.3 standards Available to work all shifts as required, including extended shifts, weekends and overtime. Education: High School diploma or general education degree (GED) Technical training in automotive or related fields. Experience: Minimum 3-year quality assurance experience within an automotive manufacturing environment.
