Job Description
Performs visual, mechanical, functional, dimensional or electrical inspection of a variety of raw materials and products in the production assembly process through to final system assembly. Performs inspection tasks involving the use of a wide variety of test instruments and equipment to measure values and record functional operation of components, equipment, systems, supplies and materials. Determines acceptability and identifies and recommends disposition of defective items in accordance with established procedures.
Key functions of Job for Quality Inspector:
Works under close supervision and direction of the inspection supervisor or his/her delegate to ensure acceptance on complex mechanical and microelectronic assemblies and associated paperwork.
Inspector will be performing inspection with microscope on small delicate microelectronic components, semiconductor packages and working in a clean room production environment.
Visually inspects electronic assemblies for proper method of assembly, component types, component orientation, mechanical and electrical connections, soldering workmanship, foreign material, finish and appearance, marking and other characteristics that could affect the quality and/or reliability of the product.
Inputting defect data into database and performing first article inspection on assemblies.
Assists in-process monitoring of material handling, shipping, and packaging of product.
Inspects material identifying paperwork for accuracy and proper handling as per defined procedures.
Occasionally assists in carrying out investigations to solve problems encountered in the course of inspection of product and documentation.
Interact and communicate with customer inspector during source inspection visit.
Candidate must be able to obtain a security clearance.

As an Associate Quality Lab Technician, you will be responsible for incoming material inspections and testing as well as materials produced in-house. This position will challenge you to work as a team to set, achieve, and maintain goals including daily inspection times. You will have the opportunity to work with a dedicated and knowledgeable group of people who support and lead quality improvement efforts to ensure that our products have No Equal in our industry. This position will follow a Monday through Thursday schedule from 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with overtime as needed.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING (% of Time)
Inspect incoming materials and parts to ensure vendor quality. Report inspection findings using software programs. Create, revise, or update various spreadsheets and/or electronic records, etc. used to collect information in the lab. (60%)
Assure the reliability and consistency of production by checking processes, first piece and final output. Communicate and assist Engineers in resolving non-conformances. (25%)
Contribute and participate in various improvement projects within the plant. (10%)
Report non-conformances using TQC system and follow through to execution of disposition. (5%)

Title: Quality Technician
Reports to: Quality Manager
Responsibilities:
Assist with relieving operators for breaks and lunches as needed
Training new operators to the OPC and C&S procedures as required including new hire orientation

Inspect per standards at all stages of manufacturing and document as required
Identify and document any product not conforming with the use of a NCR
