Job Description
PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Interpret blueprints, CATIA models, company standards, work instructions, and perform necessary calculations using shop math to conform tooling, detailed parts, assemblies and installations.
Perform complete inspection of components, major assemblies, sub-assemblies, production tools or parts during manufacturing, modifications, installations to determine safety or conformance to standards and requirements.
Interpret and check complex prints, engineering change orders and governmental regulatory procedures and specifications.
Apply technical knowledge in the fields of mechanics, hydraulics, electricity, sheet metal, etc. to determine and sign off safety, airworthiness, or conformance.
Use precision measuring guides, gauges and laboratory instruments.
Suggest dispositions of damaged or worn parts and the possibility of salvage based on FAA regulations, company practices or procedures.
Requirements
High school diploma or GED.
Minimum of five (5) years aircraft related experience
FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate
Good knowledge of FAA regulations as pertaining to aircraft maintenance.
Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, aircraft diagrams, charts and schematics.
Must have required tools.
Able to work on maintenance stands, extending to 25 feet
Able to work in confined spaces and in unusual positions
Able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
Must not be allergic to fuels, oils, hydraulic fluids and cleaning solvents.
Able to repeatedly enter and exit aircraft using stationary steps/stairs.
Computer literacy.
Able to communicate technical information clearly too supervisory personnel, flight crews and customers.

Job Summary

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct mechanical inspections on raw materials, incoming parts, and subassemblies from suppliers and subcontractors, first-run, random and final inspection working to prescribed tolerances. *
Make visual and dimensional checks of raw materials, forgings, machined and fabricated parts, components, sub-assemblies, paintings and coatings, heat treating, final assemblies, tooling and returned items to assure quality production. *
Perform in-process inspection on the paint line and the galvanizing department. Perform Magnetic Particle, dye penetrant, and ultrasonic inspections on castings, forgings, and weldments for receiving inspection and work in progress. *
Confer with QA Manager or Supervisor/Assistant Supervisor on rejects, determining the need for rework of parts or components and other problems detected through inspection. *
Use precision measuring instruments, including micrometers, scales, calipers, and pertinent gages. *

QUALIFICATIONS
Possess a Mechanics certificate with Airframe and Power plant ratings.
Minimum 5 years' experience in aircraft maintenance and alteration of turbo fan powered business aircraft.
Trained in or experience with the methods, techniques, practices, aids, equipment, and tools used to perform aircraft maintenance and alterations.
Minimum 5 years' experience working on our Falcon models.
Thoroughly familiar with the applicable regulations, the RSM/QCM and proficient in the use of the various inspection methods, techniques, practices, aids, equipment, and tools appropriate for the work being performed and approved for return to service.
Able to work unsupervised for extended periods.

The Quality Control A Inspector performs in-process and final inspections of aircraft systems and components to determine the conformity of the aircraft to approved data and airworthiness. Perform installation inspections of components, structures, wiring and other aircraft associated items for conformity to engineering and other approved data.
Essential Functions:
Perform complete major inspection of aircraft, components, major assemblies, sub- assemblies, production tools or parts during manufacturing, modifications, installation, service, overhaul or flight to determine airworthiness, safety or conformance to approved data and Company standards and requirements.
Apply technical knowledge in the fields of mechanics, hydraulics, electricity, sheet metal, rigging, instruments, test flights, etc. to determine and sign off safety, airworthiness, or conformance.
Perform conformity inspection of components, major assemblies, sub-assemblies, or parts during manufacturing, modifications, installations to determine safety or conformance to standards and requirements.
Interpret and check prints, both hard copy and electronic, engineering change orders and governmental regulatory procedures and specifications.
Determine extent of work to be performed where no specifications, regulations or written standards are available.
Use precision measuring guides, gauges and laboratory instruments.
Is familiar with FAR Part 145, 135, 91, 65 and 21 and related A/C's
Is familiar with FWW processes.
Prepare necessary aircraft related FAA, customer or company documents.
Complete and maintain reports and records as required.
Accurately enter electronic data related to aircraft production, completion and installation operations.
Suggest dispositions of damaged or worn parts and the possibility of salvage based on FAA/EASA regulations, company practices or procedures.
Work in a safe manner in accordance with OSHA and company safety procedures.
Perform all other duties as assigned as assigned
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Airframe certificate
Minimum of 5 years experience in maintenance of aircraft
Experience with FAR 145 Repair Station and FAR 43 Maintenance.
Able to read and understand structural and avionic drawings, schematics, test procedures, etc.
Good verbal and written communication skills to prepare detailed reports.
Computer literacy
Able to walk up and down steps with or without reasonable accommodation
Able to walk long distances, climb, stand, and kneel for extended periods of time with or without reasonable accommodation
Pass vision testing, minimum 20/20 corrected, and with no limitations in color perception.
Able to access confined areas.
