Summary The Final Inspector is responsible for ensuring the safe inspection of railcars and components, verifying that all products and services meet required specifications. This role's purpose is to validate that railcars and components comply with applicable specifications before release from the facility. Specifications include owners' procedures and instructions, regulatory requirements, and industry standards. Duties and Responsibilities To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform the following essential duties satisfactorily. Documents and reports conditions and product identified as conforming and nonconforming. Maintains current knowledge of government, industry (Federal Railroad Administration & The Association of American Railroads), customer, and company policies, procedures, and work instructions. Participates in nonconforming and noncompliance investigations, root-cause analysis, and the development of corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
