Essential Job Functions:

You Will:

Aseptically sample product components and swab environmental sites for microbiological testing
Understand and address alarms for out-of-control weights promptly
Identify defective and nonconforming product and take appropriate corrective action
Check and record product codes and packaging to assure compliance with regulations and provide traceability
Monitor production process ensuring adherence to GMP, USDA, and sanitation guidelines and taking corrective action if standards are not being met
Monitor and complete QA sampling programs
Place nonconforming materials on hold
Complete all daily quality paperwork and reports promptly
Conduct internal audits for allergens, glass and brittle plastic, general facility conditions.

Duties and Responsibilities

Perform inspections for proper cleaning of equipment at pre-operation and/or during operations.
Place product, equipment and/or an area on QA Hold when required as a result of identified non-conformances.
Respond to additional calls when needed concerning foreign materials, non-conformance, receiving and or shipping.

Perform weekly and daily equipment calibrations

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function. These include:
Perform quality testing for production in the Blow Molding department.
Document any blow molding production that is approved, rejected, or being held for disposition in the Warren Quality System or where otherwise directed.
Report all accepted and rejected production to the shift supervisor or assigned designee.
Test samples from every blow molding machine every 2 hours, and inspect production at the beginning and end of each production run to ensure the production process is set up correctly and the bottles produced during each production run meet the applicable engineering drawing requirements.
Verify approval of production in accordance with the Company s processes and procedures.
Document that any production on hold for disposition receives clearance by the Blow Molding or Packaging manager before being moved from the production floor to inventory in compliance with company processes and procedures.
Document any production approved by deviation pursuant to Company processes and procedures.
Maintain a file copies of all quality engineering authorized inspection methods and SOPs, as well as copies of all bottle engineering drawings.
Report all relevant performance information to the Blow Molding department manager in an effective and concise manner.
Assist in the development of Blow Molding Operations monthly and quarterly meetings.
When assigned, develop and track Key Quality Indicators.
Conduct or prepare customer reported defect analysis, formal RCAs, and FMEAs
Assist with conducting formal new bottle capability studies and quality assessments.
Maintain an organized and clean work area in which to conduct quality inspections.
Identify and contribute to continuous improvement efforts to reduce costs or increase productivity without reducing effectiveness.

Cleaver-Brooks is searching for someone to join our team in Lincoln as a Quality Control Technician (2nd Shift; 3:30pm - Midnight, M-F) and are specifically looking for someone who has had previous experience in this field. Compile and evaluate statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products by performing the following duties:
Essential Duties:
Basic Welding and Metal Fabrication
Material Receiving Inspections
Use Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Access) and IFS software
Verify Fabricated Products meet Design Specifications within Tolerance
Provide Training/Presentations to individuals and small to mediums sized groups
Read Welding Fabrication Drawings and Bills of Material
Perform hydrostatic tests of pressure retaining products
Visual Weld Examinations (VT)
Utilize Inspection and Test Plans to Control the Quality of Product Fabrication
Supervise Welding Performance Qualification Tests
Perform statistical analysis of inspection data
Apply intellect, creativity, adaptability, judgment, and management skills to achieve required results.
Demonstrates enthusiastic, cooperative, and positive behavior.
Maintain a favorable working relationship with all employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate.

Physical Skill and Effort ...
Must be able to lift up to 80 lbs. 48” high and up to 50 lbs. overhead on an occasional basis.
Must be able to work up to 12 hours standing and walking on hard cement surface and will be required to regularly bend, stretch, stoop, squat and climb ladders up to 8 feet high.
Must be able to work in confined spaces as narrow as 16” in diameter.
Will require working in areas up to 25 feet from the ground.
Must be able to climb stairs and work in temperature ranges corresponding with the outside ambient temperatures, in welding shop environment; must be able to access all areas of the plant both inside and outside.
Must be able to differentiate between control wire colors. (yellow, blue, red, etc)

From time to time, slightly disagreeable features; negligible/little or no exposure.

Education:
High School Diploma plus AAS degree in Non Destructive Testing (NDT) preferred.
Experience:
1 - 5 years related experience in welding, boiler or related manufacturing industry.
Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification, and prior quality control technician experience preferred.
Ability to work independently, read blueprints, welding symbols and follow ASME Section 1 code required.

SNT - TC - 1A
in UT or RT experience a plus.
Must have excellent Microsoft Office Software/computer skills; ERP/MRP/IFS, Lean/Six Sigma experience preferred.

Summary
The Final Inspector is responsible for ensuring the safe inspection of railcars and components, verifying that all products and services meet required specifications. This role's purpose is to validate that railcars and components comply with applicable specifications before release from the facility. Specifications include owners' procedures and instructions, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
Duties and Responsibilities

* Performs thorough inspection of components and railcars.
* Documents and reports conditions and product identified as conforming and nonconforming.
* Maintains current knowledge of government, industry (Federal Railroad Administration & The Association of American Railroads), customer, and company policies, procedures, and work instructions.
* Participates in nonconforming and noncompliance investigations, root-cause analysis, and the development of corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
* Communicates effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
