JOB OVERVIEW
Lavazza North America, makers of Lavazza Roast & Ground Coffee along with FLAVIA , is leading the coffee revolution. The world's leading Brew-by-Pack refreshment system, the Flavia Brewing System (FBS) created Brew-by-Pack technology in 1983, and the company was the first to pioneer Filter pack packaging to retain freshness, eliminate residual flavour, provide perfect-portion size, and protect contents from sunlight, oxygen, and other harmful elements. The purpose of the Operations Quality Inspector role is to ensure that food safety and quality are verified in every step of our process to ensure consumer satisfaction. The Operations Quality Inspector will perform incoming material inspections, along with product inspection of roasting, grinding, and packaging operations. Aid in the resolution of quality matters by liaising with Supply, R&D and Supplier Quality Assurance and manage continuous improvement opportunities through corrective actions.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
General support to the Operations Quality Manager regarding Lavazza North America's West Chester, PA plant quality systems and procedures.
Test our products on the Roasting, Grinding, and all Packaging lines.
Conduct food safety inspections and reviews.
Control of Non-Conforming product, verify HOLDS, review records, and assist with investigations.
Manage the storage of production samples.
Assist with customer complaint investigations on the production floor.
Maintain incoming material inspections, supplier Non-Conformance creation, HOLDs, and incoming material test equipment.
Review production data entry into SAP and QDA for accuracy and completeness.
Environmental Swabs, Nitrogen & Compressed Air testing program.
Handle sample preparation and shipments to external laboratories.
Partner with Supply, Supplier Quality, Quality Lab and Maintenance to ensure on-time and reliable leadership and support is provided.
Performs other related duties and assignments as required.
Ability to work weekends as needed.
Ability to work extended shifts as needed.
PROFESIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
High School Degree or GED essential; 2 yr. Technical Degree preferred

* Inspects and measures materials, products, and work for conformance to specifications and standards throughout the manufacturing cycle.
* Accurately uses all standard measuring tools, including, but not limited to, rulers, calipers, and force gauges.
* Interprets blueprints, data, and other materials to determine specifications, inspection and testing procedures, and measuring instruments required.
* Records inspection data and quantities inspected on required inspection reports.
