The Technician - Inspections role involves conducting thorough vehicle assessments at auctions, dealerships, or other client sites to identify dents, scratches, paint damage, wheel defects, interior issues, and mechanical concerns. You'll collaborate with other technicians (e.g., PDR, paint, and wheel teams) to prepare accurate reports that guide repair processes. This mobile or site-based position emphasizes attention to detail, customer interaction, and efficiency in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities
· Perform comprehensive digital vehicle inspections, including exterior (dents, scratches, paint), interior (upholstery, electronics), wheels, and basic mechanical checks (e.g., fluid levels, brakes).
· Document findings using company tools and software to generate repair estimates and condition reports for auctions or clients.
· Educate auction inspectors and clients on Dent Wizard's PDR, paint repair, and reconditioning processes to build relationships and secure business.
· Test-drive vehicles as needed to assess drivability and prepare them for delivery post-inspection.
· Maintain a clean, organized workspace and adhere to safety protocols, including wearing PPE such as respirators per NIOSH standards.
· Support field teams by coordinating with PDR, paint, and wheel technicians on inspection outcomes.
· Keep up-to-date with industry standards, including state inspection certifications where required.

Position Requirements
· High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in automotive detailing, inspections, or reconditioning preferred but not required (paid training provided).
· Valid driver's license and ability to drive company vehicles.
· Physical ability to bend, kneel, and work in various conditions (e.g., outdoors, loud/noisy environments with intermittent odors).
· Strong attention to detail, customer service skills, and ability to work independently or in a team.
· Preferred: ASE certifications (e.g., A1-A8 or L1-Advanced Engine Performance), state inspection certificate, or AC 609 Certification.
· Willingness to travel locally or regionally; flexible schedule including weekends if needed.
Physical Job Requirements
· Viewing from and inputting data to a computer screen
· Occasionally travel up to 50% - depending on assignment
