The Quality Inspector is responsible for the direct inspection, measurement, and testing of products at various stages of production. This role ensures that all raw materials, in-process components, and finished goods strictly adhere to engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards, serving as the frontline guardian of product quality. Responsibilities Perform first-article, in-process, and final inspections using precision measuring tools; Read and interpret complex engineering drawings and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T). Accurately document all inspection results and maintain clear, detailed quality records. Identify, segregate, and tag non-conforming products, and support the Material Review Board (MRB) process. Utilize and maintain calibrated measurement equipment, supporting Measurement System Analysis (MSA) activities. Assist in the containment and verification of corrective actions for quality issues. The Source Inspector, (SI) is responsible for performing inspection operations of in-process or completed hardware, including dimensional, and visual inspection. The source inspection may include reviewing all paperwork relating to the product at hand. This includes operations such as Final Inspection, Receiving Inspection, Outside processing, and Assembly. The SI will also verify FAI's to AS9102 for accuracy and completeness. The SI must be familiar with hand tools and gaging techniques. The SI will also be fluent in B/P interpretation and GD&T. Source Inspection will occur at end customer's suppliers' location. The SI will travel to these locations. SUMMARY: The QA Technician is responsible for driving sustainable growth by maintaining quality requirements according to company policies, customers, industry, and regulatory specifications. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following: Maneuver and perform evaluations of samples. Assist with the monitoring of antimicrobial levels throughout production areas to withstand compliance with Safety and Suitable Support facility Food Safety/Regulatory Compliance programs such as Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP), Sanitation Standard Operation Procedures (SSOP's), and Sanitation Performance Standards (SPS) via monitoring and verifying. Assure monitoring instruments, i.e., thermometers, etc. are accurately calibrated. Provide verification services in the areas of receiving, storage of ingredients, packaging and raw materials, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's), net weights, proper labeling, quality characteristics. Verification may include additional monitoring as a verification step. Maintain records, processes, procedures including responsibility for data entry of specific quality-related information. Effectively communicate inspection findings and observations. Suspend production upon discovery of improper insanitary conditions, out of control, or if positive control in question. Retain product that does not conform to USDA, George's, or customer requirements. Follow all safety rules and practices. Perform other duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position will not have supervisory responsibility. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Required None Preferred Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) through the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Understanding/knowledge of HAACP principles.
