Typical Job Duties Include:
Testing and inspection of construction materials such as soils, concrete, masonry, and hot mix asphalt, for quality control/quality assurance in a laboratory setting as well as on construction job sites
Discussion of test results with client's on-site representative
Preparation of daily reports on WT project specific activities
Job Requirements:
Ability to work outside in various weather conditions
Ability to lift and carry 30 to 50 lbs. and 80 lbs. periodically
Strong communication and detailed writing skills
Basic math and writing skills
Strong work ethic and ability to work as a team player
Capable of working independently
Availability to work irregular hours and on weekends
Valid driver's license with clean driving record

Required and Preferred Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous construction materials testing experience required
Current ATTI, ICC, and/or ACI certifications or equivalents preferred not required.

Primary responsibilities include
Understand needs, expectations and requirements for each customer.
Establish proactive relationships with internal (manufacturing) and external customers to assure compliance to standards.
Assure established Quality Control procedures are followed. Review, and recommend improvements to specifications and procedures for products or processes.
Inspect final output and compare properties to requirements at each point of manufacturing.
Hands on, collaborative approach with facility leadership and production personnel.
Verify and file Certificate of Analysis (CoA) from raw material suppliers.
Partner with plant personnel to monitor and ensure First-In-First-Out (FIFO) procedures for all raw materials, and all materials used are within their expiration date.
Ensure procedures for the receipt and handling (blending or mixing) of raw materials are followed and results documented for every customer batch.
Assist manufacturing with color matching mixed inks to standards.
Provide guidance and feedback as needed to manufacturing appropriate personal.
Assure manufacturing is compliant to approved process settings.
Assure manufacturing is compliant to customer and R4 standards and requirements.
Keep accurate documentation and perform statistical analysis.
Monitor statistical trends for each critical point in the production path.
Quality Performance Charts - floor level Statistical Process Control (SPC) trending
Oversee / develop and train through communication to the production teams.
Help train manufacturing and maintain manufacturing process control charts (SPC)
Verify shipment of finished goods meet customer requirements and are accompanied by CoA where specified.
Packaging of Finished Goods
Verify packaging standards based on the requirements of each customer are followed.
Verify for compliance.
Follow R4 procedures for non-conforming materials. (Suspected non-conforming materials should be clearly identified and segregated from product that has been inspected and deemed acceptable)

Use and maintain the Quality Lab Equipment to assure that Customer and R4 requirements are met.

Working with facility leadership, establish and enforce Good Manufacturing Procedures to ensure adherence to health and safety guidelines as well as legal obligations
Good Documentation Practices (GDP) will be followed for all documentation.

The ideal candidate would have experience in plastic extrusion manufacturing, specifically with injection and compression molding. Related experience in general plastics and injection molding manufacturing could apply.
