Write inspection reports.
Assist to resolve day-to-day inspection problems having to do with inspection methods and devices utilized. Correction of deviations and malfunctions.
Verify acceptable quality and communicate reasons for rejects and malfunctions.
Test mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems for functionality, weigh/tag units.
Winterize units when required.
Communicate with Group Leaders regarding quality of units.
Complete any necessary paperwork and close out units when complete.

The Role:
The Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring that finished products and raw materials meet quality control requirements. This position interacts with the production, purchasing, and shipping departments.
What You Will Do:
Inspect the quality of the raw materials & outsourced products that require incoming inspection
Document defective raw material & outsourced product findings and communicate quality issues to Supply chain, working to resolve the quality issue
Check the filling line before each production run to ensure that:
All packaging materials that were used for previous production run were removed from the filling area
Filling line was cleaned and validated (if required)
Correct type of packaging was brought to the filling line
Inspect quality of finished products for the following:
fill weight
heat seal
verify color and odor
lot number
application and removal torque
general appearance
pallet configurations
other
Document quality control findings.
Review daily production batch records
Archiving of production records and associated quality documents
Train production personnel on quality procedures
Work with the production department to resolve quality issues associated with finished products
Perform detailed quality control inspection of first runs of new products
