RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities may include some or all of the following: Maintain accurate and up-to-date acceptance and rejection records and/or certifications systems as required by the applicable specifications. Layout and measure hole locations and centerlines on castings, forgings, and machine parts to maintain control of machining cycle during manufacture. Determine acceptance or rejection after inspecting parts, tools, instruments or x-ray film. Identify causes of defective conditions and test failures and prepare all appropriate documentation. Investigate cause of customer return failures. Perform inspections to applicable specifications within assembly, test and shipping departments. Assist customer/government source inspectors as necessary. CALIBRATION Perform calibration on various types of semi-complex measuring and test equipment. Set-up calibration test conditions interpreting calibration procedures, specifications, manufacturing instructions or related documents. Document and evaluate historical data to determine calibration intervals. Diagnose and calibrate newly acquired equipment. NONDESTRUCTIVE TEST Perform daily, weekly and monthly equipment and material checks. Perform pre-inspection and post-inspection cleaning. Set-up equipment and conduct tests of a semi-complex scope. Perform complete inspections in accordance with the applicable specifications, standards and other contractual documents. Interpret, evaluate and document inspection results in accordance with approved procedures. Observe all prescribed safety rules and regulations and maintain a FOD free work area. The Quality Control Receiving Inspector - Second Shift is responsible for performing inspections of incoming materials, parts, hardware, and assemblies to verify compliance with Robinson Helicopter Company's specifications, engineering drawings, and purchase order requirements. The position ensures that only conforming materials are released for production and maintenance use in accordance with FAA Part 21, Part 145, and EASA requirements. The role supports the company's commitment to safety, quality, and regulatory compliance for both production and repair station operations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities · Perform detailed receiving inspections of incoming materials, components, and hardware for conformity to engineering drawings, purchase orders, and applicable specifications. · Verify supplier documentation, including Certificates of Conformance, material test reports, and traceability records, for accuracy and compliance. · Conduct dimensional and visual inspections using calibrated measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and optical comparators. · Review and validate supplier certifications and special process documentation in accordance with FAA, EASA, and AS9100 standards. · Record inspection results in the company's ERP/Quality Management System. · Identify, tag, and segregate nonconforming materials; initiate Nonconformance Reports (NCRs) when required. · Communicate with Purchasing, Engineering, and Quality Assurance to resolve supplier quality issues. · Maintain compliance with calibration control procedures and ensure inspection tools are within current calibration prior to use. · Support internal and external audits as required. · Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements, maintaining a clean and organized work area. · Perform other related quality inspection duties as assigned by supervision. Quality Assurance Inspector positions in 2nd shift operation, receive an 8% shift premium (additional to their base pay). Support the Quality Lead in conducting investigations & take ownership of projects related to Non-Conformances (NCRs) in pursuit of timely escalations and closures. 90 Day Begin conducting trend analysis for rejected materials at inbound and provide a high-level summary including, but not limited to: items impacted, shared issue(s), quantities impacted, vendor information, etc Requirements Job Requirements Strong written & verbal communication skills in English. Proficiency in Spanish is a plus. High prioritization of safety and caution when utilizing sensitive laboratory equipment. Knowledge of basic mathematics to be able to understand & analytical data. Physically be able to climb ladders, stay on feet for a full 10hr shift and lift 50 lbs. Physically be able to obtain samples from containers up to 72” tall.
