Summary
We are seeking a Director of Quality Assurance to lead the QA discipline for our flagship consumer products, ABCMouse and Adventure Academy. This role is ideal for a strategic and technically adept leader passionate about quality, accountability, and continuous improvement. You will oversee the full QA ecosystem, spanning manual and automated testing, observability, and release readiness, ensuring that every build meets the highest standards of reliability, performance, and user satisfaction.
This leader will elevate how QA is executed and measured at Age of Learning, building better traceability from requirements to releases. You will define and enforce processes that make testing coverage transparent, strengthen the connection between QA and production insights, and ensure our automation efforts are focused where they drive the most value. By combining technical expertise, data‑driven analysis, and team mentorship, you'll play a key role in delivering exceptional learning experiences for millions of families worldwide.
Responsibilities
Own and evolve the QA strategy across both ABCMouse and Adventure Academy, balancing manual and automated testing to maximize coverage and reliability.
Establish end‑to‑end traceability between requirements, test cases, and production outcomes, ensuring full visibility into what was tested and why.
Analyze and optimize test coverage, identifying gaps across device types, features, and performance tiers to align testing with user demographics.
Drive continuous improvement in test documentation, defect triage, and regression analysis to reduce escaped bugs and improve release confidence.
Oversee automation strategy and roadmap, identifying high‑value automation opportunities while ensuring manual testing complements automation effectively.
Integrate QA into CI/CD pipelines, maintaining efficient pre‑release validation and post‑deployment verification processes.
Leverage observability and customer feedback tools (APM, CSAT, app reviews) to surface quality issues proactively and inform QA priorities.
Define and monitor quality metrics, ensuring QA effectiveness is measurable and actionable across teams and releases.
Lead and mentor a cross‑functional QA team, fostering accountability, technical excellence, and a shared culture of quality.
Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and release management to align QA processes with development velocity and business goals.
Minimum Qualifications
8+ years in QA or software testing roles, including hands‑on test design, execution, and automation.
3+ years in QA leadership or management roles, overseeing teams and frameworks.
Strong technical understanding of modern QA tools, automation frameworks, and scripting or programming relevant to testing.
Proven experience with both manual (functional, exploratory) and automated (UI, API, integration, E2E) testing methodologies.
Demonstrated success integrating QA with CI/CD pipelines and release processes.
Solid understanding of test management systems (TestRail) and version control (Git).
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate QA insights into business impact.
Proven ability to improve traceability, test coverage visibility, and cross‑team accountability.
Preferred Qualifications
Deep hands‑on experience with automation stacks such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium/WebDriver, Appium, or Pytest.
Experience scaling QA operations and automation frameworks in large consumer‑facing or SaaS environments.
Background in mobile and web testing for educational or gaming products.
Familiarity with observability tools and APM platforms for post‑deployment validation.
Experience establishing QA metrics and reporting frameworks that guide executive decision‑making.
Total Compensation
The estimated salary range for a new hire in this position is $150,000 to $185,000 USD, depending on factors such as knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on overall company performance and individual contributions.

Job DescriptionThe Lead Auditor will play a critical role in ensuring the adequate implementation of the Structural Integrity Associates quality assurance program. The individual in this position will be expected to provide quality engineering support, perform surveillances, and lead and support internal and supplier quality assurance audits. As such, the individual should be able to qualify as a lead auditor under the Structural Integrity Associates quality assurance program within the first six months of hiring on with the company. The position will also involve the performance of contract review and approval, review to support project closeout, and support of the corrective action program.
Primary Responsibilities:
Plan and conduct comprehensive NQA-1 audits of nuclear processes to verify compliance with regulations, standards, and implementing procedures
Perform surveillances to monitor compliance with quality assurance standards
Follow-up on audit findings to ensure effective implementation of corrective actions
Liaise with organizational stakeholders to manage the corrective action process
Contribute to the development and improvement of quality program and procedures
Maintain certification as Lead Auditor in accordance with NQA-1
Review project packages against requirements in support of contract review and project closeout
Review calibration records to support project activities
Update approved suppliers list, performing annual and triennial updates, as applicable, to maintain associated supplier information
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Extensive experience with 10 CFR 50, Appendix B and NQA-1
Experience with the implementation of 10 CFR Part 21 is desired
Knowledge of commercial grade dedication
Familiarity with quality assurance program development, maintenance, and implementation is desired
Experience in an operating quality assurance organization is highly desired
Skilled in leading NIAC or NUPIC audits is highly desired
Experience with customer audits is desired
Knowledge in the performance of quality control inspections is desired
Problem solving, critical thinking, self-starter, with effective written and verbal communication
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and five years of nuclear experience, or Associate's degree and seven years of nuclear experience. At least five years of experience in leading nuclear quality assurance audits is desired.
Work Environment:
The position can be performed remotely, with at least 25% travel to perform audits and support customer audits as needed

Pay Range:
The expected salary range for this role in North Carolina is $117,000 - $125,000 annually. Exact pay will be commensurate with experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Quality Control and Assurance: Independently and/or in partnership with colleagues, conducts compliance auditing activities reflecting any/all components of the grant's life cycle from pre- to post-award. The individual often serves as the “second line of defense” regarding internal controls that address risks and issues facing the organization, particularly on contractor deliverables, and in support of federal staff deliverables. Work includes internal reviews, root cause analyses, forensic auditing, and providing recommendations on corrective actions to Federal partners, as well as enhancing current systems and approaches that monitor and assess programmatic and operational quality.
Internal Controls and Risk Management: Supports and advances the Programs' risk-based approach to mitigate the likelihood and impact of compliance and fraud risks inherent in federal grantmaking. Includes assessing and prioritizing program and project risks with Federal partners; enhancing current anti-fraud, waste, and abuse internal controls; supporting risk indicator development and use; and similar. Includes enhancing financial and administrative internal controls policies, procedures, and reviews to support Federal partners on resolution of audit findings and when necessary, investigations.
Training and Internal Technical Assistance: Develops and delivers training and guidance to colleagues on federal compliance, audit readiness, internal controls, quality standards, and similar. Serves as a resource for interpreting regulatory language and applying compliance best practices. Provides assistance to Federal partners on proper maintenance of policy and procedure documentation; on developing and monitoring corrective actions; and on reports and dashboards for leadership.

SKILLS

About the Role:
As Manager, Quality and Manufacturing, you will own both quality engineering and manufacturing engineering functions for our hardware products. You will ensure production readiness, product quality, process capability, and smooth issue resolution from prototype through mass production.
Reporting into our Senior Director, Product and Manufacturing Operations, you will collaborate closely with suppliers, engineering, program management, and operations teams. You will create the structure, tools, and processes that enable consistent, high-quality manufacturing outcomes.
Responsibilities
Validate manufacturing readiness for NPI builds, including tools, fixtures, process flow, and documentation
Partner with engineering teams on DFM and DFA reviews, qualification testing, and readiness milestones
Create and maintain quality control plans across IQC, IPQC, and OQC processes
Define and implement manufacturing process controls, test requirements, and build validation plan
Lead structured root cause analysis using 8D, 5 Why, and Fishbone methodologies
Drive corrective and preventive actions and verify long-term effectiveness
Conduct line audits, capability studies (Cp and Cpk), and SPC monitoring to assess process health
Monitor yields, reduce defects, and drive continuous improvement across production lines
Assess supplier capability and lead onsite production reviews and factory evaluations

Qualifications

JOB SUMMARY
The Quality Manager oversees Quality Assurance (QA) operations and testing for a product, ensuring software quality and process improvement. This role involves managing the end-to-end test team, aligning with departmental and organizational strategies. The Quality Manager establishes standards for cross-functional teams, manages product test schedules and resources, and drives a strategic vision for quality assurance. Responsibilities include addressing project-impacting issues, managing team members' performance for excellence, and promoting software development best practices. This role plays a crucial role in delivering epic gaming experiences for customers and key internal partners.
This role is anticipated to be a hybrid work position, with some work on-site and some work-from-home. The home studio for this role is Irvine, CA.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
* Manage the end-to-end management of the test team for a product or section of a product, ensuring alignment with department and organizational strategies across globally distributed teams.
* Establish standards for cross-functional teams, encompassing strategy, test execution, and reporting, while ensuring the quality of all deliverables, workflows, and relationships.
* Manage product test schedules, team needs, dependencies, and resources, collaborating with key quality stakeholders to incorporate advanced testing methods into the testing strategy.
* Provide resources and assistance and oversee adherence to the master test plans for products. Collaborate with senior leadership on shifting work or resources to promote test quality, software development best practices, and enhanced customer experience.
* Conduct regular business reviews, provide quality-related services to production leadership, and manage the master test plan for the product.
* Create, monitor, and control metrics impacting product and team quality, analyzing product quality and usability, associated system limitations, and reporting on risk.
* Develop training materials for the project team and lead workshops for test leadership requirements.
* Lead and support projects and initiatives with regional teams, cross-functional partners, and QA teams. Ensure project tracking tools and documentation meet team standards and are up to date.
* Provide leadership, support and guidance to the assigned team, ensuring their performance is managed effectively and fostering a productive, positive, collaborative work culture.
* Champion efforts that build synergy, trust, collaboration, and inclusivity within the organization. Own and manage relationships with key partners, resources, colleagues, and leaders ensuring transparency around critical decisions and trade-offs.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Experience
* Minimum 8 years of experience in Quality Assurance.
* Minimum 3 years directing the work of individual contributors and multiple levels of management and teams.
* Experience with game engines, content and asset editors, and shared technologies.
Knowledge & Skills
* High School diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred.
* Thorough understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), specifically QA processes in agile and waterfall development environments.
* Be an expert in one or more software testing methodologies.
* Practical knowledge of relational databases such as Oracle, MySQL, & SQLServer. Working experience with Jira process.
* Proven ability to analyze, interpret, and act on data sets and complex workflows.
* Excellent written and verbal communication, planning, organization, and time management skills. Ability to tailor presented information for the appropriate audience.

Meet The Team
Our team is part of Cisco's Supply chain operations. You would be joining Cisco's central quality team that handles the field and factory performance for core routing and data center switching products.
It's a diverse group comprising of quality and failure analysis engineers who engage closely with the design, factory, component supplier and customer engagement teams. You'd be working on some of the most ground breaking technology rollout in the networking industry associated with ASIC facilitating ASIC infrastructure, low power system design, innovative cooling and coordinated telemetry features. You'd also be establishing new processes in place that address a changing dynamic and quality expectation with web-scale customers.
Your Impact
Product Quality Engineer will own and drive New Product Introduction Quality, Factory Quality and Field Quality of Digital Products that include Hardware, Software and Cloud Service offerings from Cisco.

+ .75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;
+ 1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;
+ 1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and
+ Once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.
For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay 0% up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
