What You Will Be Doing Responsibilities include: - Management of Quality Engineers, leads, Nondestructive Inspection, and Quality Control Inspectors performing Quality oversight per DCMA 8210\.1D and AS 9110 of flight Line maintenance and modification, upgrade, and overhaul on F\-35 aircraft to assure adherence to the Quality Management system and Safety of Flight\. -Supports development and implementation of Quality Assurance plans, policies, and audit schedules with site personnel\. Works directly with Enterprise Sustainment Quality and Field teams for interpretation of LM specifications and processes\. -Ensures effective implementation of quality management system within area of responsibility and ensures appropriate identification and flow down of quality requirements \(internal and contractual\) and effective implementation of quality requirements\. - Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, hiring and training, performance assessment, salary, timecards and recognition/disciplinary actions\. -Responsible for resource allocation, work assignments and establishing/maintaining an effective business rhythm\. -Communicates quality requirements, concerns and expectations to customers\. - Responsible for continuous improvement and metrics management with a focus on reducing cost and improving product quality performance\. - Ensures cost commitments and financial responsibilities are met\. -Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions\. -Coordinating with Enterprise Sustainment Quality personnel on quality issues and information flow of site activities and program issues\. -Manages the conduct of internal process audits and surveillance ensuring compliance to applicable command media, procedure compliance, and contractual requirements\. -Conduct and/or manage investigations of any non\-conformity, incident, accident, mishap or infraction through closure, including evaluation and acceptance of responses\. -Training personnel on LM Quality Assurance systems for documenting non\-conformances\. -Act as the point of contact and liaison for Ground Government Flight Representatives \(GGFR\) and ESQ communications\. -Be willing to travel based on mission needs and capable of working 1st or 2nd shifts, dependent on mission needs\. -Must be a US Citizen\. Root cause analysis and corrective actions on key issues 2. Promote communication between manufacturing and engineering through ECR process 3. Develop and maintain quality check points throughout the production process 4. Develop standard operating procedures, work instructions and post part tolerances for critical operations 5. Assist in implementation of error proofing through creation of jigs, gauges, visual signals, etc. 6. Develop and maintain visual guidelines for part inspection (scratches, dents, other imperfections). · Prepare control system documentations and complete failure mode and effects analysis (PFMEA) for certain product lines. · Monitor and report out on key performance indicators of quality (both internal and external). Set team objectives based on trend analysis · Coordinate first article inspections on new products · Qualify new vendors of manufactured components and sub-assemblies. Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing techniques Experience with metal cutting, forming, welding and fabrication is a plus. Experience with CNC wood cutting, laminating, milling and millwork assembly is a plus. Automotive quality experience or ISO certification background is a plus. Maintain all documents (letters, material submittals, pipe fab spool drawing submittals, quality control reports) and records at the site. Review and approve all construction contractor quality control reports. Follow up on all quality non-conformances to ensure that issues are addressed and corrected in accordance with good engineering practice, applicable codes and project specifications. Collaborate with the construction manager and client project engineer to obtain necessary approvals and sign offs on all corrective actions. Overall responsibility and oversight for quality aspects of the project, including management of all quality control personnel and reporting as required. Responsible for inspection and acceptance of equipment delivered to the site. Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: A graduate engineer, or a graduate of construction management, with a preferred minimum of 7-10 years of construction experience on construction projects greater than $100MM TIC. Completion of the Construction Quality Management for contractor course within the last five (5) years, or the ability and willingness to obtain the CQM for Contractors course certification within 90 days of onboarding. Verifiable experience as an approved Construction Quality Control Manager on projects ( references required ). Experience leading and managing a quality control staff. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. Proficiency in a Google operating environment. Demonstrated planning, problem solving, data analysis, blueprint reading, organizing, inter-personal, and communication skills with proven leadership skills and decision making abilities.     Join the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics company as Delivery and Sustainment Quality Manager on our Enterprise Sustainment Quality (ESQ) team! The selected individual shall manage the Quality Department staff and maintain the site Quality Management System for F-35 aircraft Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) located at Ebbing Field, Fort Smith, Arkansas. What You Will Be Doing Responsibilities include: • Management of Quality Engineers, leads, Nondestructive Inspection, and Quality Control Inspectors performing Quality oversight per DCMA 8210.1D and AS 9110 of flight Line maintenance and modification, upgrade, and overhaul on F-35 aircraft to assure adherence to the Quality Management system and Safety of Flight. •Supports development and implementation of Quality Assurance plans, policies, and audit schedules with site personnel. Works directly with Enterprise Sustainment Quality and Field teams for interpretation of LM specifications and processes. •Ensures effective implementation of quality management system within area of responsibility and ensures appropriate identification and flow down of quality requirements (internal and contractual) and effective implementation of quality requirements. • Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, hiring and training, performance assessment, salary, timecards and recognition/disciplinary actions. •Responsible for resource allocation, work assignments and establishing/maintaining an effective business rhythm. •Communicates quality requirements, concerns and expectations to customers. • Responsible for continuous improvement and metrics management with a focus on reducing cost and improving product quality performance. • Ensures cost commitments and financial responsibilities are met. •Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions. •Coordinating with Enterprise Sustainment Quality personnel on quality issues and information flow of site activities and program issues. •Manages the conduct of internal process audits and surveillance ensuring compliance to applicable command media, procedure compliance, and contractual requirements. •Conduct and/or manage investigations of any non-conformity, incident, accident, mishap or infraction through closure, including evaluation and acceptance of responses. •Training personnel on LM Quality Assurance systems for documenting non-conformances. •Act as the point of contact and liaison for Ground Government Flight Representatives (GGFR) and ESQ communications. •Be willing to travel based on mission needs and capable of working 1st or 2nd shifts, dependent on mission needs. •Must be a US Citizen. Must possess at minimum an Interim Secret Security Clearance and be able to obtain a Final Secret Security Clearance. Must have a valid state Driver's License. Knowledge of Senior Corrective Action Board Review Process or establishing Customer Concerns Working Group (CCWG) is desired. • Green Belt certification or other Continuous Improvement experiences a plus. • Ability to work independently and without direct supervision and must have excellent communication teaming skills. • Ability to interface with all levels of management, technical experts, and floor level personnel in a multiorganizational environment. • Self-Starter; ability to multitask and work in a flexible schedule environment supporting the flying window.
